Logansport, Indiana, Pharos-Tribune Nineteen' Late Market Reports Boys Stage "Melon Toss" Five boys between the ages of 14 and 17 years had a lot-of fun throwing watermelons at the front door of the New Waverly school Wednesday night, but it was not such a happy occasion when Deip- uty Sheriff Lionel Davis took -them back to the school to clean up ttie mess. Deputy Davis was called to the school at 10:50 p.m. He found watermelons had been thrown through the front door and a panel had been broken out of the door by the young melon hurlers. He soon learned the identity of the culprits and went to their homes, notified their parents, and took the boys back to the school with him to clean it up. The melons had been stolen from a patch belonging to the grandfather of one of the boys, the deputy reported.

The boys were notified that they would have to report what they had done to the school authorities Thursday and would be required to pay for the repairs to the door. INVESTMENT SHIFT? Gap between redemptions, sales of U. S. Savings Bonds grows. I40OI 5 600 i-too U.
