Junior Kenny Burks scored three touchdowns on short plunges and Auburn clamped an unyielding defense on Tennessee yesterday as the Tigers smashed the 14th-ranked Vols 21 0 in a Southeastern Conference football game. Auburn's defense kept All-SEC quarterback Condredge Holloway bottled up throughout the afternoon and waited until the offense broke it open in the final quarter. It was the first time Tennessee had been shutout in 54 games and the first time since Bill Battle became head coach that the Vols had been blanked.
