Harris received a Master of Fine Arts degree from CalArts in 1998 and has been exhibiting her work in Los Angeles since 1993. During the last year, her work has been seen in the "LACE Annuale 1998," in "Contact" at the Brewery, "I Candy: LA in Flux" at Rosamund Felsen Gallery and in "Resonant Forms" at the Anacostia Museum and Center for African American History and Culture, Smithsonian Institution. Tet, a painter, photographer and filmmaker, is originally from Romania and received an MEA in fine art and experimental animation from CalArts in 1993. He has been exhibiting in Los Angeles since 1990 and his 1996 film, "A Drama at the Baroque Recycling Center" was included in "Still Life: Seductive Objects" at the Municipal Art Gallery. Kira Lynn Harris and Emanuel Tet, both alumni of CalArts, recently received Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery Associates' Lorser Feitelson and Helen Lundeberg Feitelson Arts Fellowship Awards.

The awards are made from an endowed Municipal Arts Gallery fund and are given to artists whose creations demonstrate exceptional promise. Each workshop costs $35 and includes the entry of one video into the Clarita Awards Competition, scheduled for late spring, 1999.
