Hines, founder afjtf president and -treasurer the S. H. Hines Vndertaking establishment, died yesterday at his residence, 1903 14th street northwest, following nines-. of about three months. Mr.

Hines was bom Windsor, October 9. 1S59. He was to be born in that town. He devoted his entire life to the undertaking business, first (stabUshlnK an offlcfa Jn Norfolk, Va. Coming to this in the seventies.

Mr. Hines established the present company In.1873, is. located at J901--903 ntn street I Greatly interested in fraternal organizations. Mr. Hine.s during his lifetime became affiliated serving in each with active Interest and support.

He was also one of the original members of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Hines was also an active member of the Board of Trade and the "Washington Chamber of Commerce. Funeral services will be held afternoon at 1 clock at his residence, conducted by Rev. Dr.

Johnson, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church. Rose Croix and Blue Lodge service will be held at the grave in Rock Creek cemetery. Surviving him are his wife. Mrs. Lucy J- Hines; a son, W.

R. F. Hines; two daughters. Mrs. Marion L.
