Gauphier, 48, 791 Devonshire, died Thursday in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was born in Springfield, on Aug. 18, 1928, and lived let South Haven for the past 7 years He retired from the United States Army as a master sergeant after 1 years of service. He was a member of the Chesterton American Legio Post 170 and the Chesterton Moose lodge 1623.

Surviving are his wife Carol, a daughter, Cynthia, and a so Timothy, all of South Haven; is mother, Mrs. Rose Gauphier of Sit. Petersburg; and several aunts arid uncles. Services will be 11 a.m. Wedn js-day at the Olson Frum Porta ge Chapel.

The Rev. Carl Mengeliiag of the Nativity of Our Savior Catl no-lic Church will officiate. Burial will be at Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Gary. Friends may call tonight 7 to 9, Tuesday 2 to 9 p.m. and until the time of the services at the funnral home.

Memorial services of the Aimeri-can Legion and Chesterton Moose Lodge will be tonight at the fun eral home at 7 and 7 30, respectivel Mrs. Edward Hannon LAPORTE Mrs. Edward L. (Ethel Hannon, 89, of 2702 S. Wozniak Road, former Porter County school teacher, died at her home Sunday after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Porter County Feb. 7, 1888, daughter of Lincoln and Eliza Jardine) Dodd. On Feb. 7, 1909 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, LaPorte, she was married to Edward L.

Hannon, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Margaret Hannon of La-Porte and Mrs. Hobart (Mary Jane) Kemper of Westville; two sons, John E. of LaPorte and Joseph D. of Chesterton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Rosary Society of the church and the New Durham Township MISC and was a charter member of the New Dur-' ham Home Economics Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Church with the Rev.

George Vrabley officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery. Tuesday at Weaver Funeral Home Westville, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Puchow: ski, 49, a Hobart resident for 17 years, died Friday. Survivors include her Theodore, a son, Thomas K. Parry, and two daughters, Kate and Susan Parry, all of Hobart; a stepmother, Mrs. Dorothy Parry, Valparaiso; and an aunt, Frances Parry, Valparaiso. Services were held today at the Rees Funeral Home in Hobart.

Agnes Woods, Lowell, and Mrs. Alice Redmon, Valparaiso; and seven grandchildren. Her husband, Emil, preceded her in death on July 1, this year. Funeral procession will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from Dykes Funeral Home to St.

Paul Catholic Church where the Rt. Rev. John J. Charlebois will say Mass. Burial will be at St.

Algot (Minnie) L. Gronwall, 76, 246 E. County Road 650 died Sunday morning at Porter Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Chesterton Jan. 6, 1901, the daughter of LaFayette and Mary Ann (Johnson) Targgart, on April 14, 1923, in Porter County she married Harry Johnson who preceded her in death May 28, 1938.

On March 23, 1940 she married Algot Gronwall who survives. She had taught at Pine Township School and was a member of Faith Memorial Lutheran Church. Surviving besides her husband is one son Harold Johnson of Valparaiso and four daughters, Mrs. Betty Rittel, Mrs. Eileen Smith and Mrs.

Shirley Huber of Valparaiso and Mrs. Carolyn Youngblood of St. Paul, one brother, John Targgart of Chesterton, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Wetmore Funeral Home with the Rev.

Stellhorn PORTAGE Services for William M. Stellhorn, 69, 5904 Mulberry, were held at 3 p.m. tod ay at Engel Funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Price officiated. Stel lhorn was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.

He died Friday at Porter Memorial Hospital. The son of William and I Smily Hutton he was born July 12 1909, in Buffalo, Ind. On Oct. 22, 1SI26, he married Catherine Chunn, who died last Jan. 12.

The former Gary resident lived in Portage for the past four years. He was a retired carpenter contractor and served 20 years in the United States Navy. He is survived by a son, William of Alpiloma, Calif. three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Ra inwater and Mrs.
