The judge's decision, which came a week before the trial was to begin, 1995, was brought up on charges in October 1996 by the Clark County district attorney's office.

The grand jury indictment was handed down in December 1996. The grand jury indictment superseded a criminal complaint filed by the district attorney's office directly in Clark County Court, which would have made public the evidence to prove probable cause. In May, Hunterton said Iacenda passed two polygraph tests, which Hunterton was attempting to introduce in a pre-trial motion. See IACENDA, page A3 II Iacenda attor-4 Jacenda ney Stan Hunterton said.
