FAMOUS WESTWOOD TABLE LAMPS regularly 45.00-55.00 34.97 44.97 From Tribune Wires REYKJAVIK, Iceland Challenger Bobby FischeF's favorite chair arrived by air freight from New York yesterday to help assure the American's comfort in his match against Russian Boris Spassky for the world chess championship. Fred Cramer, a vice president of the U.S. Chess Federation acting as Fischer's spokesman, aid he was certain the first of the 24 scheduled games will be played tomorrow "unless Spassky is still ill." The fact that the official match arbiter, West German Grandmaster Lothar Schmid, has returned to his home in Bamberg and will not be back in Reykjavia until Thursday "will not stop the game," Cramer said. SCHMID flew home Saturday after his son had been injured in a traffic accident. Schrnid's deputy, Gudmundur Arnlaugsson of Iceland, will take charge of the first game in the $250,000 match for the world title.

A newly ordained Lutheran minister, preaching his first sermon, assailed Fischer and Spassky yesterday. The Rev. Olafur JensSi-gurdsson said in a eligious broadcast that Fischer, the American challenger for the world championship here, was guilty of the "sin of greed" and Soviet titleholder Spassky the "sin of anger." Fischer was asleep in his quarters; Spassky was fishing for salmon. The match is the talk of Iceland. The sentiment seemed to favor Spassky.

FISCHER'S behavior apeared to have eroded his early position as the popular favorite in a place where the Russians aren't very well liked. In addition to resentment at Fischer's demand for money, some Icelanders don't like the fact that he requires a police guard. Spassky has appeared regularly in public places and on Saturday drove two hours out of town to a deep-water pool called the Almannagja where Icelanders toss coins and make wishes. Fischer remains hidden from public view. The players, have still to give their official approval to the playing conditions but Spassky said Saturday before leaving to go salmon fishing chat he would not argue about the conditions or the picking of a board and a chess set.

"I will leave that to Fischer. It makes no difference to me," he said. Traditionally styled lamps in brass and bronze finishes, accented with decorative glass, marble and sculptured metal. Choose from: 1. bronze with eliptical glass in amber, or green, regularly 45.00...
