All for Governor Carlton, as his friends ticre pointed out yesterday, probably got a lot of comfort out of the primary returns as he saw many of those ho had fought his measures at the last legislative session bumped off at the polls. Heading the list of the antl-Carl-ton senators bumped was Edgar Way-bright for the senate in Duval county, vhich Includes Jacksonville. Way-bright was the big sales tax advocate. How much his defeat was due to his ales tax platform and how much to his fight against Carlton at the 1930 session was something the folk here conldnl attempt to figure. The defeat of T.

R. Hodges, ousted shell fish commissioner, who made the race for secretary of state on an out-and-out anti-Carlton platform, was decisive.
