Helicopter Saves Youth from Raft ALAMEDA, Dec, 19--Larry Reeves, 15, marooned on a off Bay Island, Was saved by a Coast Guard hellcopter last night. Larry, an Alameda High School junior and son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Reeves of Bay Farm Island, was spotted about 500 yards off Bay Farm Island by a friend, Dennis Sandersere, 14, of 66 Island Road, Bay Farm Island.

Reeves had borrowed the raft from Sandersere. Hat Shop Operator Found Dead in Store Philip La -Vant, 54, operator of Phil's Hat Shop at 1117 Franklin today was found dead in his small living quarters at the rear of his store. He apparently died of a heart attack. Police were called by neighboring merchant who became alarmed when La Vant failed to open his shop as usual. The hat blocking and cleaning store was locked and officers were forced to pry the door open.
