6-A Oakland Tribune, Southern Alameda County Section, tvjy" in Women's Golf Tourney Set At Hayward HAY WARD, Aug. 25 -Hay-ward's first annual Women's City open golf tournament will be held Sept. 12, 13 and 20 at the Hayward Golf Course. Deadline for application in the 54-hole medal play is Sept. 5, according to chairman Mrs.

R. D. Huntzinger. Players from throughout the state will compete in the tournament sponsored by the Hayward Chamber of Commerce and Hayward Ladies Golf Club. Two perpetual trophies will go to the winners of the low gross and low net scores.

Prizes will be awarded to other winners. The tournament committee members aiding Mrs. Huntzinger are Mrs. Vern Stearns, Mrs. Scott Diffenbach.

School Pep Teams Get No Vacation ARROYO HIGH TO DISTRIBUTE YEARBOOKS SAN LORENZO, Aug. 25 -Arrbya High School 1959-60 yearbooks will be distributed from 6:30 to 11 p.m., Monday at the school patio, Editor Dolores Bardon announced today. Student body cards and receipts will be required for identification. Purchasers may also attend a dance in the school cafe-torium from 8 to 11 p.m., the 'announcement added.

Judging from enthusiasm generated so far, the kids are in mid-season form and the first bell hasn't even rung yet San Leandro Net Tourney To Be Held SAN LEANDRO, Aug. 25-More than 200 persons 18 years and under are expected to take part in the San Leandro Unified School District's tennis tourney Aug. 29-31 and Sept. 1-2.

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day on the San Leandro High School courts. It will represent the first formal competition for more than 100 members of the district's recently completed summer tennis school. Some 300 youngsters took part in five two-week summer sessions.

Entrants in the junior net event must be 18 or younger, reside in the city or in the school district or attend either a public or parochial school in the city. Youngsters who have taken part in the district's 1960 tennis program also are eligible. A total of 27 events each keyed to the age and ability of the entrant, are planned, according to tennis coach Bob Hull. SAN LORENZO, Aug. 2S-It's getting so you can't keep kids away from school even during vacation.

That's what happened at San Lorenzo High, where the yell leaders, chorus line and pom pon girls have been rehearsing three nights a week this summer at the school in preparation for the opening of classes. The students, who have spent the time perfecting their rountines, will make their first appearance during Fresh ettes, consist of 17 pretty girls who will perform half-time during the football and basketball games and at school pep rallies. During the summer vacation, the group has rehearsed novelty numbers and precision dance maneuvers under the direction or Phyllis Curto, student director. The Rebelettes include Gerry Peters, Lana Callistro, Sue Howard, Glenda Cum-mings, Donna Lust. Linda MacGregory, Sue Hansen, Lynn Engstrom.

The evening will include a social hour at 7 p.m., dinner at 8 and dancing at 9. Awards will be given for the best dress, individuals; funniest dress and best dressed couple.
