Survivors include his mother, Jean Smith of North Platte, his stepmother, Ruth Adkisson of Phillipsburg; and three brothers, Vern of Johnstown, Ron of Lake Orino, and Richard of Fair Oaks, Calif. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 Second, Phillipsburg 67661. Burial will be Friday in Johnstown. Memorials may be made to Hospice Services.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today and until the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Betty Jo Allen Betty Jo Allen. 67, Salina, died Sunday, Oct. 16.

2005. Miss Allen was born July 25, 1938, in Santa Barbara, the daughter of the late Emmett S. and Ella Marie (Williams) Allen. She was a registered nurse for 45 years, retiring in 1996. She had worked at the Asbury Regional Health Center for 15 years and in Wichita for the Red Cross and St.

Francis Hospital in labor and delivery. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur "Skip" Allen. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Higgins of Salina; a nephew, Jason Higgins and wife Leray of Beverly; a special cousin, Lois Grippin of Falls City, a special friend, Jenese Groth of Salina; and two great-nephews, Cole and Bastion Higgins of Beverly. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Carlson-Ford-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S.

Anderson, 93, Lincoln, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005. Mrs. Anderson was born Laura R. Woodard on Aug.

"Dave" Klanke David W. "Dave" Klanke, 43, Salina, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005. Mr. Klanke was born David Wayne Klanke on Oct.

26, 1961, in Salina. He worked for the City of Salina's engineering department for 24 years, most recently as a land surveyor. He was a member of the Kansas Soci- MR. KLANKE ety of Land Surveyors, Salina Chapter, and a former member of AMBUCS of Salina. Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home; his parents, Fred and Alberta of New Cambria; a brother, James and wife Lisa of Lee's Summit, two nieces, Hannah and Hallie Klanke of Lee's Summit; his father-in-law and mother-inlaw, Joseph and Simona Medve of Salina; and a sister-in-law, Gerardette "Gerry" Medve of Salina.

14, 1920, in Windom. He was a teacher at Burgess High School in El Paso, Texas, for 10 years and then at McPherson High School, retiring in 1996. Survivors include his wife, Betty L. of McPherson; a daughter, Sherry Perdreauville of McPherson; two sons, Robert W. of Phoenix and Ronald K.

of Ames, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, McPherson. Schultz was born July 17, 1919, in Lincoln. He was a retired farmer. His wife, Myrtle, died in 2003. Survivors include two sons, Calvin and Richard, both of Miltonvale; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Turpin seeks judgment by the court that she is not liable to the defendants with respect to a Police blotter AGGRAVATED BATTERY James A. Meyer, 48, 1951 Glendale, suffered several broken bones in his eye socket when he and two friends were attacked at 11 p.m. Friday outside The Blind Pig, 2501 Market Place, according to Deputy Salina Police Chief Mike Marshall. Meyer was treated at Salina Regional Health Center. James A.

Shirack, 47, 3000 S. Drew, suffered a bloody nose and cut to an ear, and Christopher J. Ford, 36, 322 S. Estates, suffered swelling under an eye and cuts on his knuckles, Marshall said. Marshall said the men had been in the bar, and Ford had talked to an acquaintance.

The men then were attacked outside the bar by someone who had been with that acquaintance, Marshall said. Police were searching for the alleged assailant. BURGLARIES A screen and kitchen window were damaged and a gold bracelet, diamond earrings, diamond ring, gold wedding band, silver and gold wrist watch, camera and a car belonging to Bounthay and Sengkeo Souvannakily were taken from 1409 W. Cloud between 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 12:45 a.m.

Monday; the car was found about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Wichita; $55 damage, $2,600 loss. Two Sony PlayStation con- trollers, a PlayStation II game system, DVD movies and PlayStation games belonging to Glen H. Peavey were taken from 616 S. Phillips between 10 p.m.

Saturday and 9 p.m. Sunday; $700 loss. THEFT A 1995 Mazda belonging to Dalton L. Caldwell was taken from the 900 block of State Street between 11 a.m. Friday and 8 p.m.

Sunday; $2,000 loss. 'INJURY CRASHES Ashley R. Sheridan, 20, 821 E. Wayne, Apt. 18, was treated at Salina Regional Health Center after the car she was driving east on Republic Avenue, east of Sherman Street, hit a vehicle owned by Fiebe L.

Beal, 518 W. Republic. According to a police report, Sheridan left the scene of the crash but was stopped by police shortly after a as she was walking up to her home. She was cited for failure to report a crash, reckless driving and other traffic violations. Richard Dalanno, 51, 107 E.

Parkway, was treated at Salina Regional Health Center for injuries he suffered when the sports car he was driving hit a deer at 10:45 p.m. Sunday on northbound Interstate Highway 135 just south of Interstate Highway 70; the windshield shattered and a part of the deer's antlers flew through the windshield, striking Dalanno in the forehead. NONINJURY CRASH Justin D. Harris, 15, 849 Sherman, was cited for driving without a license, failure to report a crash, inattentive driving and other traffic violations the car he was driving struck an exterior wall of an apartment complex at 2664 Highland at 5:11 p.m. Sunday, pushing in the wall and damaging the interior of an apartment, according to a Salina police report.

Harris allegedly left the scene of the crash but was identified by a witness and was located later at his home. Animal shelter These animals were picked up Oct. 16 at the locations listed and taken to the Salina Animal Shelter, 329 N. Second. Phone 826-6535.
