Jones, Robby Benson, Michael Benson, Hollye Williams and Brooke Williams; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his first wife, Barbara Koon, he was also preceded in death by an infant daughter. Pallbearers will be grandsons Skip Benson, Kelly Benson, Mark Benson, Robby Benson, Michael Benson and Jerry D.

Survivors include his wife, Amie Moore McClellan of Marshall; a daughter, Evelyn McClellan, Smalley of Shreveport, a stepdaughter, Bonnie Robinson of Los Angeles, a brother, EstrUs McClellan of Marshall; a sister-in-law, Lucy M. McClellan of Marshall; an aunt, Arvee Williams of Marshall; a granddaughter, Lindy Harthone; a step-grandson, Dewayne Black of San Antonio; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Frank Orr and Mike Brittain officiating. Mr. Benson died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, at his home, after an extended illness. Burial will be at Center Cemetery, Harleton.

He was born Sept. 24, 1901, in Harleton, a son of John Anthony Benson and Fannie Isabel Wells Benson.
