OFF THE RECORD It seems to me that in this chap, the record industry has a good weapon to uplift much of the musical fare that is being gobbled up by the high school set and at the same time offer musical entertainment for those past that age. In addition to looks that will surely appeal to the younger, this lad is a pleasant singer. PAUL WESTON has recently returned to the Capitol fold and has re-recorded some of the famous mood music he is noted for.

One such release available is Music For Memories. Music For Memories is composed mostly of tunes from the 1930s, an era when melody was the prime Ingredient of songs. In this new package Weston blends, as no one else can, brass, strings and piano in one of the best LPs to come out. SELECTIONS ARE Just Friends, You Go To My Head, Blue Moon, Love Locked Out My Moonlight Madonna, Etude Opus 10xNo. 3 in Major.

All The Things You Are, Somebody Loves Me, Deep Purple, East Of The Sun, I'll Be Seeing You and I'll String Along With You. Chances are this LP is already in your library but with the newer recording techniques It's almost advisable to purchase it again. FROM ALL recording companies come word of impressive Fall releases which will be covered here in the weeks to come. Warner Brothers, Columbia, RCA Victor, Decca and Coral will soon be placing them on the market and we'll have comments here for your guidance. Condie To Conduct SALT LAKE CITY.

Politics, island under sea, 6-foot blonde in By VANCE JOHNSTON Tribune Staff Writer Capitol Records kicks off the late Summer early Fall LP market with No One Cares, Frank Sinatra's latest waxing. This LP is composed of ballads "in a lonely mood with rich backgrounds by ar-ranger-c onductor Gordon Jenkins." THE SELECTIONS are.

those that have, at one time or another, been very close to all who have been in love. And Sinatra, the most gifted pop male singer of our time, knows how to and does get the best the lyric writer has to offer. Sinatra interprets these sad songs with a deep feeling of a man who has experienced tragedy. In many respects, this is Sinatra at his best. In addition to the title tune, selections include A Cottage For Sale, Stormy Weather, Where Do You I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You, Here's That Rainy.

I Can't Get Started, Why. To Change Me Now? Just Friends, I'll Never Smile Again and None But The Lonely Heart. This is a must. You'll enjoy this one. a ED TOWNSEND, also on Capitol, offers a swinging selection in a rich baritone voice that is easy to take.

In Glad To Be Here, his presentation should please everyone. Nelson Riddle's orchestra furnished the musical background for LP and the combination of Townseno and Riddle is a pleasant musical journey. SELECTIONS INCLUDE When My Dream Boat Comes Home, Golden Earrings, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, What's Wrong With Me, Brazil, Dinah, Don't Ever Leave Me, On The Street Where You Live, Deep In A Dream, Night And Day, I'm In Love and Would I Love You, Love You, Love You. St CAPITOL ALSO presents a winner this month in My Heart Belongs To Only You, a pleasant ballad to kick off the first LP for Larry Hovis. Jack Marshall's music is in the background.

Hovis should have no trouble capturing the hearts of the younger set He sings with ease and sincerity and that perhaps accounts for his sudden rise to fame. SELECTIONS INCLUDE in addition to the title tune, 'Deed I Do, But Beautiful, As Long As I Live. Love-Wise, Just In Time, Nice To Be In Love, Then I'll Be Tired Of You, I WTant To Fall In Love, S'posin, Polka Dots And Moonbeams and Exactly Like You. W4f WAGON TRAIN "The Jenny Tannen Story."
