Stefano, all of New York City; and a nephew. National Cremation Society, Largo. CATIA, JESSIE, 62, of Fort Pierce and formerly of Largo, died Sunday (Sept. 18, 2005) at Kindred Hospital of Fort Lauderdale. He was born and grew up in Largo and attended local schools, including Pinellas High School.

He worked as a long-distance truck driver for more than 45 years in the Fort Pierce area. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Mosely, Largo; a son, Jessie Pahokee; his mother, Ella Bell Gardner, Largo; five brothers, Willie and David Gardner, both of Largo, Robert Catia, St. Petersburg, Amos Gardner, Miami, and Horace Catia, Atlanta; four sisters, Bettie Brookhart, Brandon, Julia Carter, Atlanta, Daisy Hamilton, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Anna Sillmon, Plymouth, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. McLEAN, MALCOLM W. "SCOTTY," 78, of Largo, died Tuesday (Sept. 20, 2005) at Kindred Hospital-Central Tampa. He was born in Boston and came here in 2003 from Nova Scotia, where he owned and operated a limousine company. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a Mason.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Old Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and secretary of the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed bowling, chess, computers and reading. DAVIS, SAMUEL E. III, 61, of Clearwater, died Friday 16, 2005) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Columbia, S.C., moved to Orlando in 1976 and moved here in 2000. He attended the Citadel in Charleston, S.C., and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He graduated in 1966 from the University of South Carolina with master's degrees in political science and business administration, and was a pledge master of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He was a salesman and entrepreneur who specialized in advertising, newspapers and barter. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Largo. Survivors include his companion, Jan Benedict, Clearwater; a son, Samuel E. IV, and a daughter, Alice Rebecca Davis, both of Orlando; his father, Samuel E.

Orlando; a sister, Diane Knox, Atlanta; and three grandchildren. Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater. HILL, EDNA 89, of Clearwater, died Tuesday (Sept. 20, 2005) at St. Mark Village continuing care community, Palm Harbor.

She was born in Caledonia, and came here in 1945 from Wisconsin. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from LaCrosse State Teachers College in Wisconsin and did postgraduate study at Northwestern University. She retired after 15 years as an American literature and composition teacher at Clearwater High School and also taught English, Latin and German. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Church Women organization, Clearwater, and the Pinellas County Retired Teachers Association.

She was a world traveler and enjoyed playing bridge and reading. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Waud, Tarpon Springs, and Connie Brasier, Tampa; and a granddaughter, Alana Brasier. He came here in 1982 from his native Macungie, where he retired as a supervisor after 29 years with Tyler Pipe. He was a Ma- rine Corps veteran of World War II and a volunteer firefighter with the Macungie Fire and Little League baseball coach, Macungie. He was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church of Weeki Wachee and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Macungie. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He was born in Cleveland and lived here 20 years before moving to South Carolina. He graduated, from San Francisco State University in 1952 and was director of Boys Club of America for 15 years in California. He was a corporate finance consultant for 13 years with the Girl Scouts of the United States in Boston and nine years as an accredited nursing home administrator in both Massachusetts and Florida. He was an Army veteran of World War IL. He qualified as an expert rifleman and served with the 11th Airborne Division, 511th Parachute Infantry in New Guinea and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign.

He enjoyed fishing and oil painting. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, June (Maugham); a son, Jeffrey Maugham Maclure, Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Susan Willey Fitts, Mount Pleasant, and Holly Hansen Maclure, Santa Cruz, a sister, Helene Mitchell Dawson, Watsonville, three grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews. He came here in 1991 from his native Worcester, where he retired as an estimator after 36 years with Francis Harvey Son. He was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Forces in World War II and served as an aerial gunner in the European Theater. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Largo, and the American Legion in Massachusetts. He was an avid golfer and gardener.

McINTOSH, ALBERT PARSONS JR. "BERT," 77, of Kissim- mee, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Saturday (Sept. 17, 2005). A St.

Peters burg native, he graduated from St. Petersburg High School, St. Petersburg Junior College and Stetson University in DeLand and was a lawyer. A 32nd degree Mason, he was an officer and past worshipful master in the Northside Masonic Lodge, St. Petersburg, and a member of Mokanna Lodge in Orlando.

He was a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, a former member and officer of Mensa and the Sons of the American Revolution and a former member of the Northside Lodge Memorial Association, Scottish Rite Consistory, Bahia Shrine Temple in Orlando and the York Rite Bodies and the Selama Grotta, both in St. Petersburg. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee. DUNMIRE, JAMES DENNIS, 83, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (Sept. 21, 2005) at St. Anthony's Hospital. Born in Johnstown, he came here in 1982 from Mexico.

He retired in 1982 after 35 years with 3M. He was sales director in Australia in 1954 and then was managing director in Hong Kong and the Far East, Madrid, Spain, and Mexico. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a graduate of Juniata College in Huntington, Pa. He was a volunteer at Daystar Life Center and a member of Lakewood Country Club, the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lorene; four sons, Jim Clearwater; Terry, Scottsdale, William, Creston, Ohio; and Scott, San Diego; two daughters, Bonnie Marett, Weston, and Deborah Dunmire, Medford, a brother, John Richard Dunmire, Palo Alto, and eight grandchildren. She was a longtime and active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She graduated from Stevens College.

WITCHARD, JOHNNY LEE, 55, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (Sept. 16, 2005) under the care of hospice. Born in Montezuma, he came here more than 40 years ago and attended Pinellas County schools. He was a handyman.

She had been visiting her daughter in Vero Beach and was recuperating from a recent illness. Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Sister, she was ninety years young, born in Cresson Pennsylvania, March 27, 1915. She moved with her family to Dunedin in 1953.

Among her varied interests were active in involvement in church, travel, reading and music. She was a hospital and Hospice volunteer for many years as well as an elementary school aide and volunteer. She was a charter member of her church where she played the handbells and sang in the choir. She graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was married for 43 years to Richard Crankshaw, who predeceased her in 1983.

She is also predeceased by her sister Irma Chaffinch. Survivors include her three children and their families; her son Richard (Alice), grandchildren Erik (Sydnee) and Kevin (Holly) and great-grandchild Alexandria; daughter Lynn Wiley, grandchildren Peter (Ann), Kristin (Darrell) Bryant, and Keith Wiley; son Geoffrey, grandchildren Jonathan and Katherine; her siblings, Robert Hibbs, Lena Brooks, Helen Zimmerman and Christine Forman.
