She was born in Hartford, CT and came to Florida in 1948. She worked In lending for West Coast Title and in banking before she retired from Republic Bank, She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park before retiring to Weeki Wachee. Michael is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Firetto; his loving daughters their husbands. While a Salvation Army officer, she started several senior citizens clubs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She taught ceramics, china painting and created several oil paintings.

She later owned and operated the Forget-Me- Not, a consignment shop, in Belleair for several years, and after earning her license she worked locally as a real estate agent for more than 15 years She was a past president of Soroptima, a business women's service club, and president (1986) of the Salvation Army Retired Officers Association. Survivors include two sons, David, Largo, and William, Dunedin; two Evelyn Kuminszca and Edith Cross, both of Portland; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She and her husband moved to Dunedin, Florida in 1969, later moving to Safety Harbor until his death in 1996. She helped start the Briar Bells while a resident at Briar Creek in Safety Harbor. Among her other activities she enioyed bridge and was the first runner up in the State Finals in shuffleboard. She is survived by her son, Noel K. Evans, his wife Barbara of Sun City Center; grandson Ken, his wife Sarah, great-grand children, Abigail and Sam of Glen Arm, MD and grandson Reid, his wife Kathy and great-grandson Bradley of Tampa, FL.

He was born in Clearwater, traveled and lived abroad many years, came back in 1987 from Blackburg, left again in 1996 and returned in 2003 from Chapel Hill, N.C. He graduated from Florida Military Academy in St. Petersburg and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture from Carnegie Institu te of Technology and Texas University. He was professor emeritus at Rice University and also taught at Texas Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the University of Nebraska. He was an educational consultant with universities in Mexico, Latin America and Asia.

He received the Chicago Graphic Arts Award for design for a book that he edited, The People's Architects, and Better Homes Gardens magazine honored him in 1970 for design of the Evans House, Houston. He served as a director of the Texas Arts Alliance and the Arts Council of Brazos County. Since 1979 he was a member of the American Institute of Architects. He was a consultant to the National Commission on Urban Problems (1970), and a member of the Texas Society of Architects. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Clearwater.

59, of Largo, died Sunday (July 16, 2006) at Bay Pines VA Medical Center. He came here in 1975 from his native Boston and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Catholic.
