SIR J. J. (Carmarthen District). Sir John Jones Jenkins (Liberal), of Tbe Grange, Swansea, was born in 1834, and educated privately. In 1864 he married Kate, daughter of tbe bte Mr.

E. DanieL of Morriston. Sir John Jenkins a magistrate and deputy lieutenant for Glamorganshire, rice chairman of the Khondda and Swansea Bsy Railway Company, a member of the Swansea Harbour Tratt, and he ha represented the Carmarthen Boroughs since 1582. JONES, 1. (Montgomery Boroughs).

Thomaa Caldecot, of Helton Hall, Iineolnshire. He was born in 1832, and was edncated at Rugby and University College. Oxford, and a Fellow of many cientifio and antiquarian societies. He is a magistrate and deputy lieutenant for Carnarvonshire, and was high sheriff of the county ia 1854. Mr.

The Hon, George Thomas Kenyon (Conservative), of Kinmel Abergele, North Wales, the eldest surviving son of the third Baron Kenyon, by bb marriage with the! Hon. He is a partner tbe firm of Messrs. Kstnlcne Brothers, merchants and shipowners, snd of Messrs. Ross T. fmyth and Co. He entered Parlbment in 18C8 as member for Liverpool, which town be represented till the year 1880.

Mr. Henry Robertson (Liberal), of Pali, Ccrweu, Merionethshire, and Brymbo Hall, Denbighshire, is a son of the Iato Mr, Duncan Robertson, and was bora at Banff in 181C. Major William Comwallb West (Liberal), of Ruthin Castle, Ruthin, is the second son of the bto Mr. Frederic West, grandson of John, second Earl De La Warr, by his marriage with Theresa, daughter of tbe bte Captain John Whitby, of Newlands Manor, Lymington, Hants. He was born, ia 1835, is Lord Lieutenant of Denbighshire, and lieu tenant colonel of the 1st Volunteer Battalion Royal Webb Fusiliers. Major Cornwall is West unsuccessfully contested Lymington in 1874 and West Cheshire hi 180.

Mr. Arthur John Williams (Liberal), of Morra, Eastbourne, the fifth son of Dr. J. M. Williams, of Bridgend, He was born in 182C, was educated privately, and married, ia 1877, the elder daughter of the bte Mr.Robert Thompson Craw shay, ot Cyfarthfa Castle.

WILLIAMS, (West Mcnmouthshire). Mr. Benjamin Francis Williams Conservative) the only son of Mr. Enoch Willbms of Mertbyr Tydril. 'He wss born in 1845, and educated at Shrewsbury and St.

W. (Montgomeryshire). Mr. O.W.Willbma Wyan (Conservative) tbe only surviving son of the bte Bight Hon. C.

W. WiUbms Wyna, who represented Montgomeryshire from 1756 to 1850. He was educated at Westminster and Christ Church, Oxford, and was called to the Ear in 1846. He married, in 1853, Lady Annora Charlotte Pierrepont, youngest daughter of tho lata Earl Manvers. Mr.

Willbms Wynn represented Montgomeryshire from hsCS to 1880. WYNN, SIR U.L.W.W. (East Denbighshire). SirH.L. E. Wynne, M.P., who represented Merioneth from 1852 te 1865, by Mary, second daughter of the bte Mr. R. A. Slaney.

He was born in 1840, and waa formerly ensign and lieutenant in the Scots Fusilier Guards, from which be retired in 1864. Mr. Wynne a magistrate and deputy Lieutenant for Merionethshire, and a magbtrate for Montgomeryshire. He sat for Merionethshire froni 1S to 1868. SCOTLAND.

ANSTRUTHER, SIR R. (St. Andrews Burghs). ir Robert Anstruthcr (Liberal), of Bakaakie, was born in 1834. He entered the Army, and became lieutenant colonel in the Grenadier Guards.

He was educated at Madras 'College, and St. Andrews. Sir Archibald C.Campbell Blyths wocd, is son of the bte Archibald Douglas, ot Mains (who assumed the arms of Campbell of Blythswocd on the death of Archibald Campbell of Bljthrwocd.hb cousin.in 1S3S), and was bora In 1837. He is vice lieutenant and Convener for the county of Renfrew, colonel of the 1st Battalion Argyll and Sutherland was elected Grand Master Mason of Scotbnd hi 1884.

He served in the Scots Guards in the Crimea, when he was severely wounded.and in acknowledgment of his gallant services received a medal and clasp, together with the Turkish Madjidieh. He baa also served in Canada. Sir Archibald Campbell contested Paisley aa a Conservative in 18CS, was returned for Renfrewshire in 1873, but lost tho scat in 1874, and again contested Renfrewshire unsuccessfully in 1880. Sb George Campbell, K.C.S.I. (Liberal), the eldest son of Sir George Campbell, ef Edenwood, Fifeahire, and was born in 1824. He was educated at Cupar Fife, at St. Andrew's, and at the East India College at Haileyburr. In 1843 be joined the East India Civil Service in Bengal.

In 1851 ke returaed home on account of ill health, and was sppointed Assocbte of tho Queen's Bench by hb uncle, Lord Campbell. In 1854 he waa called to tho Bar at the Inner Temple, and in tho same year he returned to Indb. He' took charge of tho district of Axingurh, and then acted as Commissioner of theCis Sutlej Provinces. He waa at Urwards Judisbl Commissioner of ode and' then a Judge of the High Coart of Calcutta.

Sir G. Campbell was also President of the Commission on the Orbsa famine of 18CC, and acted temporarily as Chief Commissioner of tho Central Provinces. In 1871 be waa chosen Lieutenant Governor of Bengal, holding the post till 1875, when he finaly returned to thb country. In April, 1875 ke was returned for Kirkcaldy Burghs as a Liberal. F. Campbell (Liberal) is the Idest surviving son of the bte Jamee Campbell, of Craigie. He was born at Edin burgh in 1831, and was educated at Rugby. He was for sometime Captain in the 8th Madras Cavalry, and served on the staff daring the Indian Matiny. He is a magbtrate and rice lieutenant of Ayrshire, and major in the Ayrshire Yeomanry Cavalry.

(Liberal, is the third sea of the bte William Clark, insurance agent, Glasgow, and was born at Kil marnock in 1846. He was at sea between his 13th and 17th years. After taking hb degree, he studied bw at the University of Hoidolbcrg and was ejected a Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford, in 186L and in 18C3 waa called to tbe Scotch Bar. Sb Donald Carrie, K.G., M.G. (Liberal), is a son of the bte Mr. Jamas Carrie, merchant, of Greenock, and was for a long time head of the firm of Donald, Currie and Company, owners of the Castle Line of steamships between London and South Africa, which has recently been transformed into a limited liability company, with Sir Donald Currie as managing director. Walter Henry, Earl of Dalkeith (Conservative) the eldest son of the Duke of Buccletich and Queensberry, K.T. He was bora in London in 1861, and educated at Christ Church, Oxford. DALYRMPLE, C. (EdinburghshireL Mr. Cberlea Dalrymple (Conservative) is the second son of the bte Sir Charles Dalrymple Fergusson, of Kilkerran.

Ha was born at Kilkerran, Ayrshire, in 1839, and waa educated at Harrow and at Trinity College, Cambridge. He assumed the name of Dalrymple on succeeding to tho estates LordHailes in Mid Lothian. He was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn in November, 18C5. (Edinbosghabiro). The Right Hon. William Ewart Gladstone is a son of Sir John Gladstone, of Fasque, Kincardineshire, and Liverpool, and was born in Liverpool on the 21'thof December, ISO). Ha was educated'at Eton and Christ Clrureh, Oxford, where he graduated in 1831 as a doubb first clansman. He entered Parliament in 1832 for the borough of Newark, for whieh he sat till 1846.

He was a member for the University of Oxf erd from 1847 to 1865, for South Lancashire from 1865 to 18G8, for Greenwich from 1808 to 1360, aad for the county of Edinburgh since' the latter date; Mr. Gladstone was a Lord of tho Treasury in 183 1, Under Secretary of the Colonies in 1835, and Vice President df the Board of Trade and Master of the Mint from 1341 to 1843. when he became President of the Board of Trade. He resigned office in February, 1845, but in December of the same year became Secretary of State for the Colonies till July, 1846. He was Chancellor of tho Exchequer in 1353 55, 159 66, 1873 74, and 1880 82.

Mr. Gladstone was also High Commissioner Extraordinary to the Ionian Isles in 1858 50. He was bom at Ard wick, near Manchester, in 1826 was educated privately and at University CeUege, London, and commenced practice us consulting surgeon in London in ISti and became surireon to the Middlesex Hospital He is a Fellow of tbe Royal College of Surgeons, England, and of various learned societies. In 1862 Mr Henry relinquished tne medical profession and became a partner in the mercantile firm of A. and S. Henry and of Manchester and Glasgow.

Colonel David Milne Home (Conservative), son of Mr.Darid Milne Home, T.T. V.K.S., of Milne Graden, waa born in 1333. He was educated at Cheltenham College, Trinity College, Cambridge, and the University cf Edinburgh. Ho entered the Royal Horse Guards in May, 1862, and served with hb regiment, of which he now colonel, in the Egyptian campaign of 1S82. He sat far Berwick on Tweed from 1874 to March, 1880, and from August, 1880, till the disfranchisement of the borough by the Redbtribution Act of 1835.

Mr. Mao donaU became Sheriff of Perthshire ia 1380, and retained that office till July, 1S85. He was Dean of the Faculty of Advocates, from 1832 to 1355. On the formation of Lord Salisbury's Ministry thb year, Mr. Macdonald became Lord Advocate and was sworn of the Privy Council.

From 1380 to 1385 Mr. Macdsnald was a Prison Commbiuncr for Scotbnd, aad a member of Her Majesty's Board of Supervision ia Scotbnd. He was a Commissioner for Northern Lighthouses from 1376 to 18S0, and again in 1385. I a 1530 he was made a Queen's Counsel, and in 1334 tho University of Edinburgh conferred the degree of LL J), upon him. Mr.

Maedonald also an electrician of eminence, and an Associate of the Society of Telegraph Engineers and Electricians. He a magistrate and depaty lieutenant of the City or Edinburgh. He married, in 1364, Adebidcdaughter of Major Doramrf Ely House, Wexford, who died in 1370. Mr. Macdonald uns access loll 7 contested the City of Edinburgh in the Conservative interest la 1374 and 1380, and the Haddbgton Burghs 1378.

MACDONALD, R. (Ross and Cromarty). Mr. R. Macdonald (Liberal) is the son of Mr.

Macdonald, a crofter, and was born at Fairy in 1840. He received his early education at Loumore Free Church School, and sub soquently at the Free Church Normal School in Glasgow, whence he returned to Loom ore and acted as tsacher for two years. From Skye he went to Glasgow University where be studied withthe view of entering the ministry. Abandoning this idea, be studied modicine at Edinburgh University, and took, the degree, of M.D. at Durham University.

He is now a student at tha Middle Temple. MACKENZIE, SIR K. (Inverness shire). Sir Kenneth Mackenzie, of Gairloch, tho eldest son of the bte Sb Francis Mackenzie, of Gabloch, by hb first wife, Kytha Caroline.daughter of Mr. Smith Wright, of Romps tone Hall, Nottinghamshire.
