He was a World War II Navy veteran and served aboard the USS Brooklyn, and was involved in three invasions, including Anzio. He was a member of the American Legion, and for 18 years served as secretary-treasurer of the Florida Chapter of the USS Brooklyn Association. He was a member of light of Christ Catholic Church, Clearwater. Survivors include his wife, Alice M. She came here in 1984 from her native Buffalo, N.Y. She retired from Lancaster Central High School, Lancaster, N.Y., and was a volunteer at Ponce de Leon Elementary School of Clearwater. She also made caps and booties for cancer patients at Morton Plant Hospital. Survivors include three sons, William Spokane, Donald Greenville, S.C., and Daniel Lafayette, two brothers, Elmer "Butch" and Eddie Jones, both of Buffalo; two sisters, Elma McTique, Grand Island, N.Y., and Loretta Blake, Simi Valley, six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. DeCarlo was bom in Calitri, Italy October 19, 1912 and immigrated to the U.S. after marrying Anthony, also from Calitri, who had become a U.S. Citizen. She readily adapted to her new country, earning citizenship which she always treasured.

Shortly after her arrjval in White Plains, she won first prize with a crocheted shawl in a contest sponsored by Gunung's Department Store. She is survived by her son Angelo and his wife Rose, of Palm Harbor, her stepson Louis, of Bal Harbour, Florida; her stepson Michael A. DeCarios and his wife Betty of Tallahassee, Florida; 8 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren; by her sister Albina Nacci of Milan, Italy; and by her sisters-in-law Elsa Toglia and Rose Toglia of White Plains. Viewing will be at the McMahon Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., March 23. A mass will be held at ML Carmel Catholic Church White Plains at 10 a.m.

He BROCK Charles 89, of Clearwater passed away March 19th surrounded by family at The Vineyard Inn, under the care of Hospice. He was the husband of the late Jeanne Parish Brock and the father of three sons. He had five grandsons and a granddaughter, and nine greatgrandchildren. Charles Avory Brock was bom in Washington, D.C. on Memorial Day, May 30, 1916.

He moved with his family parents Charles S. and Lily Hughes Brock and sister Patricia to Oakland, FL in 1919 and then to St. Petersburg in 1925. He graduated from St Petersburg Junior College (now St. Petersburg College) for two years, and graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1939 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

He began his career as an accountant with the H.M. Tumburke firm in Clearwater. He later became a partner and in time established the firm of Brock and Lewis. He continued working as a Certified Public Accountant until his 85th year. Mr.

Brock, a draftee, joined the Army just days before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He and Jeanne Parish, of St Petersburg, who was to become a Registered Nurse, were married on November 26, 1941. Mr. Brock served at various bases in the United States and finally at Fort Richardson in the Aleutian Island in Alaska. He was a technical sergeant when he left the Army in January 1946.

He returned to the Tumburke firm and moved to Clearwater. By 1954, the Brocks had three sons. They had been married 57 years when Mrs. Brock died in March 1999. Mr.

Brock was an active member of Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Lions Club, and the "Over the Hill Gang" of men who have been friends since the 1920s. The Brocks enjoyed dancing to Big Band music and were regulars at the Coliseum in St Petersburg. Mr. Brock was a longtime fan of Florida Gators football, and of the Phillies. Survivors are sons James and wife Rosanne, Orlando; Bruce and wife Heather, Clearwater, Richard and wife Janice, Jacksonville; grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan, Jeremy, Richard William and Daniel Brock, and Layla Brock McDaniel; great-grandchildren Hannah, Mary, Sarah, Kristen, Lyn-sey.

Amber, Jordan and Caden Brock, and Connor McDaniel. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia (Mrs. Tom Harris, St Petersburg, three nieces and a grandniece. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 4 p.m. at Peace Memorial Church, Clearwater.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a past commander (1988) of the Anclote Key Power Squadron, Tarpon Springs, a member since 1940 of the Jesse Cooley Masonic Lodge in Elmira, N.Y., and a member of the Palm Harbor Shrine. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jeannette (Stryker); a daughter, Carole Troy, Ridgewood, N.J.; and two grandsons, Edward Troy, Fairlawn, and Matthew Troy, Hoboken, NJ. She was born in Philadelphia and came here in 1974 from Flourtown, Pa. She was a retired bookkeeper and volunteer for many years at Bay Pines VA Medical Center. She was an avid bowler and in 1989 she placed first in the Pinellas County and Florida State Bowling Competition, and sixth in the National Bowling Competition in Baton Rouge, La. WAGEMANN, ARTHUR P. "ART," 93, of Palm Harbor, died Saturday (March 18, 2006) at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs. He was born in Chicago, came to Tarpon Springs in 1979 from Altamont 111., where he retired as a salesman for Altamont Wholesale Co. He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, where he received three Bronze Stars and a Silver Star, and served in une invasion of North Africa. He was Lutheran, an avid Cubs fan, and enjoyed bridge, golf, and other sports.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jean; two sons, Dwight, Palm Harbor, and Jim, Altamont; and three grandchildren. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, Clearwater. WAGEMANN Arthur P. age 93, he was bom in Chicago, IL, August 2, 1912. Moving from Aftamont, IL to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1979, to Lake Tarpon Mobil Home Village. Art was a Salesman with Altamont Wholesale Co. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Force, winning 3 Bronze Stars and 1 Silver Star, serving from the time of the invasion of North Africa to the end of the war.

He was Lutheran. He also was an avid "CUBS" fan, and enjoyed golf, bridge and all sports. He was preceded in death by his son Rabon, his Mother and Father and 3 Brothers and 1 Sister. Survived by his wife Jean of 64 years. Son Dwight and his wife Deena of Palm Harbor.

He studied and majored in composition at Roosevelt University. He was the first oboist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and held first chair in the Rizzo Accordion Ensemble.
