PIED. On the tub iMt BO ROE JAMES, too Miana and Hannah Guire, aged I year, 3 mouth and I day 7 On Sabbath evenis. ih 1 4th Mil CATHARINE L. NKIN, the wMnm of br mother, la New Hagerrtown, alter illness of otily tra days. When called to mourn the kmi of one whom hire tu long aad dearly lured to part forever from tbecVar being who baa a firmly entwined bene If with our heart's beat affections, we cannot hut feel 'tut deep, bitter aorrow wbicli Untune the heart striag, And seeetu to bid all earthly htppinea Plea forever.

Vet while pausing by bar narrow heme, a "still email voice" wMeetre. weep not for her, but rather mourn that you are left to rtruggl alone villi a cold, unfeeling world. Her earea and trial are over ber joy a of earthly kind ire paat and her freed apirit baa entered the choir of the bleat, around the throne of that (rod whom ahe loved ind aerved during her abort vi.it to earth. Naturally of a mild, ana pioua disposition, she early embraced the religion of her Savior and during a long connection with the church militant, never gave cauae for cenaure, but waa rather a bright ornament to her rlioeen profession. Her disease, though not complicated, was fearfully deceptive, lor no one thought it would prove fatal till within a few boura of her death, and during that time ber Bufferings were so intense that it was impossible for her to converse as freely with her friends as might have been wished, yet a aweet parting solace waa given to cheer the remaining lingerers on their lonely way.

Shortly before ber soul's departure to the spirit land, tome of her friends were ainging a favorite hymn in an adjoining apartment, when, though weak and exhausted by pain, her voice was distin-' guished, mingling with theirs, in low plaintive tones, which thrilled the heart of every listner. 1 Her aoul, aa it were, aroae with the strain, for in a abort time, ahe ceased to be an inhabitant of earth. Thui were we called upon to part with our beloved friend. Thus to render back to God the priceless jewel which so blest us with its wealth of friend-' ship and 'ove. Sweetly she seemed to sleep in her pure white robes and though beautiful in life, yet she waa surpassingly lovely when adorned as the bride of death.

We sympathize with the bereaved mother, who ins thus early been called to part from a fond and faithful daughter, we grieve with the mourning latere, who were denied that last sweet console-1 tion of witnessing the final flight of her spirit and we deeply feel for the sorrowing brothers, who have so soon been deprived of a loved sister's affection. Yet we mourn not without hope for, while here ohe only shared the society of mortals, now the companionship of angels. An earthly love was all we hod to bestow, now an ete nal wealth of affection, from the Creator of that heaven-hoffi attribute, is her's forever. We might dwell at length on her many amiable characteristics, but to her friends it would be unnecessary as her name Is already embalmed in the inmost recesses of their hearts, for None knew her but to love, Or named her but to praise." MARION. i To Mcliuol Teacher.
