"During the first six months we collectEd only 583 pints." The Rochester area will continue to fill all the blood needs of its residents only as long as donations permit, he said.

In other sections of the country supplies of blood are limited to donors and their families during periods when it is in short supply. In still other sections blood is furnished only to donors and their families on a pint-forpint donation basis, he revealed. Mr. Crowell also revealed the names of 14 persons who reached new Gallon Club levels during the November visit of the Bloodmobile to Wellsville. Ryan's Trailer Park in the Town of Rushford, Allegany County, has been charged with eight violations of the State Sanitary Code and has been directed to answer the charges at a public hearing Dec.

18 in Albany, Dr. Hollis S. Ingraham, state health commissioner, announced today. Floyd W. Ryan of Nunda, Livingston County, owns and operates the park, according to a notice of hearing in the case.

The hearing is set for 2 p.m. Dec. 18 in Room 159 of the State Health Department building. 84 Holland Avenue, Albany. The charges are: failure to chlorinate drinking water, based inspection made July 25.

Hired Hand's Shed Burns, House Saved BLACK CREEK Fire totally destroyed a shed in which a hired man was living early Sunday morning on Haskins Road, but New Hudson firemen were able to save a nearby house and barn from damage. Chief Leslie Clark and a crew of firemen went to the Robert Haskins farm on Haskins Road about five miles north of here at 3 a.m. Sunday after a fire of undetermined origin broke out in the shed used by the hired man.

Firemen manned the department's pumper and tanker in raw, windy weather to save the family's house and barn, but were unable to keep the shed from being totally destroyed. Firemen were released and reported back on station at 4:15 a.m. Honor Society Inducts 6 Seniors BOLIVAR seniors in the Bolivar High School were initiated into the local chapter of the National Honor Society in ceremonies conducted by the Belfast chapter last week. The seniors are Steven Brown, Sherry Jaques, Nicholas Lemmer, Dale Paffie, Richard Richardson and Brenda Wood. The new initiates, their parents and members of the Belfast and Bolivar chapters of the honor society were feted at a tea in the school cafeteria following the ceremony.

Ford Bruce, 48, of Ulysses, mother of nine children, died Saturday evening when the car in which she was riding was involved in a crash at an intersection here. Trooper Anthony Ruggiero of the Pennyslvania State Police station in Coudersport reported that Philip K. Empson, Ulysses, the driver of the car in which Mrs. Bruce was riding, was traveling east on Route 49 at 7:45 p.m. A car operated by Fred Putnam, of RD 2, Genesee, westbound on Route 49, attempted to make a left turn onto Route 449 and was struck head-on by the Empson vehicle, the report stated.

Mrs. Bruce was pronounced dead on arrival at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. State Police have not released further details of the accident pending completion of their investigation. Charges are pending, they said. Mrs.

Bruce (Ruby Jane) was a native of Greensburg, Pa. In addition to her widower, she is survived by four sons, Ralph, Robert, Larry and Garry, all at home; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel Post of Ulysses, Miss Susan Bruce of Cresson, and Barbara, Pauline and Marcella, all at home; two brothers, Russell Errett of Erie, and Robert Errett, address unknown; a sister, Miss Charlotte Errett of Cleveland, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Friends may call at the Koch and Kear Funeral Home, Ulysses, this evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev.

A student at the State Univrsity of Buffalo, and a member of its band, Miss Tucker is one of 200 students in the band composed of college men and women from all over New York State. Miss Tucker was the New York State Dairy Queen in 1966, having first been chosen Allegany County Queen at the annual County Fair in Angelica. She was then selected New York State "Queen" for 1966-67 at the state fair in Syracuse.
