It's the first in a series of weekly shows featuring professional and amateur talent to be sponsored by The Tribune stations. The second will be on Dec.

19. The WFLA Hoedown will begin at 8 P. and a portion of the show will be broadcast. Entertainers scheduled for next Saturday night include Jack Espinosa, pantomime specialist; the Smith Twins, who returned only a few months ago from a tour with Horace Heidt; the Dixie Boys, a comedy trio; Al Smith, singer; Butch Green, the little boy with the big voice; Esther Young, yodeling cowgirl; Mary Ann DiSalvo. balladeer; Les Albury, singer; Raymond God-ard, young singer; Harry Hughes and his band, and many others.

Mardi Liles and Cuz'n Larry Lane will share the emcee honors. A portion of each Saturday night show will be reserved for the presentation of outstanding amateur talent, which will compete for valuable awards. The amateur contest is open to entertainers throughout the Florida West Coast area. Auditions will be held weekly, beginning next Wednesday night at WFLA's studios in The Tribune Building, and persons who wish to compete in the talent search are invited to contact the station. TEXOR WILL SIXG WITH SYMPHOXETTE Tony Gonzalez, young tenor, will be guest soloist with the Tampa Symphonette during today's concert in Plant Park.

SPEBSQSA CHANGE SUNDAY TIME With the Tampa Symphonette now being heard at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoons, WFLA has moved Marchtime Down South and the Barber Shop Singers into the 1 o'clock period. Marchtime Down South, featuring the Army Band from Fort McPherson, will be on the air during the P. M. time each Sunday, except for the second Sunday of each month when the Tampa chapter of the SPEBSQSA presents its monthly concert.

Miss Evans is also president of the Civitanettes. "FRIENDSHIP TREE" OX MORNING SHOW Walt Framer, producer of Strike It Rich, heard week-day mornings on FLA, has launched a "friendship tree" campaign. Warren Hull, program emcee, is urging listeners to place National Tuberculosis Association Christmas Seals on cards sent to the show. The cards will be taped to a "friendship tree" over a period of four weeks.

Then the tree will be presented to the headquarters of the Tuberculosis Association. Framer hopes the idea will catch on, and that listeners will start their own family "friendship tree" by taping cards with the seals on them to their own trees and by placing seals on all cards they mail to others.
