THE SUNDAY NEWS, February 5, 1989 ENTERTAINMENT AN EXPRESSION IN 1 On location and rhythm of street language dialogue, considered poetic by some, obscene by others. Mamet wrote Speed-the-Plow (which starred Sean Penn's soon-to-be-ex, Madonna) and About Last Night (the screen version of his Sexual Perversity in Chicago), which featured Moore. With stars like the reclusive de Niro, the combative Penn and Moore (whose husband, the outspoken Willis is likely to visit) perhaps even with plot changes, We're No Angels really is the perfect title for the Mission movie. FILM CLIPS The cast of 21 Jump Street has returned from filming at Royal Roads in Victoria. Ric Reid had a role as an army recruiting sergeant then moved over to the Bordertown set to play A Man called Maddock Marlaine O'Brien is filming MacCyver's "The Challenge" and has been signed for an upcoming play "True Beauties," at the Arts Club Smoke Bellew, which was expected here in the spring, has relocated to Yugoslavia for filming Danger Bay is a go for the sixth season and starts shooting in Burnaby May 8.

The show is currently seen in 58 countries. Any inquiries for Liz Carroll should be directed through features editor Richard Dal Monte. He can be reached at 467-1 122. Ml Lily HULK TO TAKE THE STAND Bill Bixby will direct and star in "The Trial of the Incredible Hulk" with his big, green alter ego Lou Ferrigno. Bixby became aware of Vancouver as a good location site while directing several episodes of Murphy's Law.

The Hulk cast will include several L.A. actors, with smaller roles going to local talent. Meredith Woodward, fresh from a stage appearance in "Toronto, Mississippi," has been cast as a farm owner in this NBC Movie of the Week, which will film for a month starting Feb. 15. REEL DREAMS Ray Sharkey, who was killed off last season on Wiseguy, returns in a dream sequence to haunt the hospitalized Vinnie (Ken Wahl) who, in real and reel life, has recovered from his injury and is fit and eager to get back to work.

Gordon White plays a patient who is undergoing shock treatments. The next few Wiseguys will focus on the music industry and feature such well known rock stars as Deborah Harry (Blondie), Glenn Frye (Eagles) and Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac). ON A ROCK ROLL Another rock musician, Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys, has a principal role in the local movie "Ricochet" which begins filming Feb. 13. Biafra is the only American in an otherwise all-Vancouver cast, which will be announced when contracts are signed tomorrow.

HEAVENLY HELPERS According to Coreen Mayrs, whose task it is to choose extras for We're No Angels, the 700 people who showed up at Maple Ridge for an open casting were the best she has ever encountered in attitude, appearance and manners and she'll be choosing quite a few for the film. The movie will use more than 1,000 extras, a nice little boost for the economy. Garwin Sanford and Bill Murdoch have been cast in the movie as a monk and deputy. Demi Moore, wife of Bruce Willis, will be appearing in her first role since the birth of their daughter, Rumer, in August. Although We're No Angels is the title of the '50s Bogart film, this version, with Robert de Niro and Sean Penn, is not a remake.
