BOULOGNE AND FROM DOVER. Just as our Paper was going to press we re ed the following letters from our Correspond- ents FRIDAY. Moaxtxc Nov. 2 1803. Gale of wind from the West.

After sendimg a dispatch on shore for you yesterday at I made the best of my. way to the opposite shore. The wind" being Oourable 1 was not long in making' it. On my arrival I found matters in such a state of forwardness. as to leave no doubt in my mind of it being seriously the intention of the Admiral to make the attack.

On the rise of the tide the Diligence commended by Captain TIDY had taken her station leading ship" round which all the gallics row-boats rocket-boats were assembled. Tile heavy vessels pre pared to lead' the van indeed every thing wore-the appearance' of immediate operations. About eight o'clock the. fleet got under The boats that. had rallied round the Diligence took' their stations.

At 10 two bomb vessels commenced. throwing in shells and all appeared ready for the general attack. At this time the wind was tolera bly moderate but freshening on fast by eleven it blew hard and the sea began to make apace. I could plainly see our small craft were much inconvenienced by it. At twelve o'clock it blew a perfect gale and the sea ran mountains high.

All this- time the two vessels kept on firing and sending in shells. The' small craft which had taken up their stations were now glad to get to the fleet. and. ore o'clock every intention of making the at tempt for that night I am sure must have been given up. The fleet were under weigh and tried all they could Upkeep their station.

but were at last obliged to abandon the French shore which they did about three this morning. They stood away for Dungeness but I cannot say that they have arrived at that Haven as I shaped my course for Dover so parted from them. After light this morning I saw' two or three of the vessels about half-channel over standing for the Ness one vessel made for Dover and is now in the Roads. I ant apprehensive that a trifling accident occurred to one of the rocket-boats during the gale. By some means or other the rockets caught fire and went off in great numbers and appeared to fall all round one of our vessels.

1 never beheld such an illumination. I find the people at Dover saw it and one and all set it down as the grand attack. Whenever the mode- rate SirSiovKT will no doubt resume his station. I shall be close af his heels. 4 DOVER.

FlttcAy NorxxitiS Lasf night at 12 o'clock another dispatch was forwarded to Sir SIPKY Surrir. Letters' were received from him yesterday. ie creations the attack of the two boats and nt ha happeuedto gu of. ft gin s. jh vs Sat 2 alludes to the trifling firing whichhadoccnned line his beinover but obtertes that when the racI attack takes place the firing will be of a very different zutHrc.

A heavy cannonade vras heard here fretit ten wt nightxto near cnethii morning and it Uge- nerallybelievedthatSirSiDEYias madetpartial attempt. This account further confirmed by a Gentleman' from Folkstone who declares that Le saw the greatest light eff Boulogne that be Tar witnessed sad at the same time he heard a firing. The Courier cutter sailed to-day with dig. patches for Sir SIDNEY A small vessel has ar rived I understand from the other side but I cannot team any particulars by her. The dispatcta- boat which-sailed yesterday is making for the bar.

bour I hope' to. et some intelligence from her before 1" send six OcLots The tn has arrived but is cct from the Fleet. A report is' in. circulation that SirSiDXEV with his Squadron was seen half. channel over at light this' morning beating to windward.

No intelligence from France ofa later date than the 10th or from Holland than the 1l1b instant has been received in this country since" Sunday last. It was yesterday rumoured on Change that an express Had been received in town from Holland which brought accounts of a v5rv lato date from Paris. It was stated on the authority of this information that a great number of failures had taken place in the French Capital. and' that the people were thrown into the greatest con sternation by the consequent stagnation of trade and the' impression which the victory obtained over the Combined Squadrons had produced upon the inhabitants of Paris. We have taken some pains' to trace the rumour to its source and the result of our enquiries hat been that it has no fonodatiqrfwhatever It is en titled to no greater degree of credit than- the 'intelligence' in a Morning Paper Of yesterday that let ten or the lith and lath Jnst.

We are aware that" it was reportl" yesteraslr evening with considerable confidence' that a DvtJK Paper of the l6tnnst. had been received nlentioc.

ing. the fact of a greatbattle having beeq. ropg about the 6th ins between the Inn andYienna fcot conceding the reiuluWe entertain much doubt Jf the truth of this irteU4genceal though it would brcj us pleasure to fiqct reason to believe- it- at Wf think the circumstance of withholding the partipn- lars. would warrant the inference that it did natter- urinate in lVOOI' ofthe French Tfie" silblI1bUrg1J Mail stated that the Russian army fc 4 taken up a strong position at Moelk about fifty miles from Vienna. and almost double that distance from the Inn.

Unless the allied army quitlttj their position and' advanced to meet the French it is not probable that any general engagement would have taken plate on the 6th. On the 3st uh. the whole of the trench army had pot pasxd the Inn. Marshal Nays division had not even reached the vicinity of that river and it is not very likely that BUONAPARTE would press on wi the same rapidityin the hereditary states that I he did in Bavaria. We' can only regard this.

ru mour as an anticipation. of an event which has lon been expected and which in all probability may hay occurred before now thoughhot on the' precise day that i mentioned. A Swedish vessel is arrived in thtrRiver whidr left Vigo some time in the beginning of the present month. We are happy to learn from her that the Belluna man of war about which some anxiety was entertained was cruizing off that port when. he sailed from it.

The Master states that it was by no means understood at Cadiz that Lord Nit- SOY had assumed the command of the British squadron at the time the Combined Fleet left that port. When the remnant of- the fled returned and gave the intelligence of the capture pf the rest the whole place was in a state of the utmost consternation and those that announced the disaster seemed equally astonished. It admitted at both Cadiz and VliO that the loss sustained by the Combined Fleets amounted is all to twenty of the line. 4 Yesterday. mirning bis A IITT the Prince AupusrA SOPHIA land AMELIA attended by Lady WTHTAnbtobk an airing on horseback in Windsor Great Park.
