"My wife also take Peruna lb Inks It la tha best mediolne." Strong Men of All Classes Fall Easy Victims to Catarrh. The explanation Is that in their strength they regard a cold or slight indisposition as insignificant. They let it go, pay no attention to it.

When they sneeze, cough or spit, they pay no attention to it. When a remedy is suggested, they shrug their shoulders or make a con- temptuous remark. At last the cold fastens upon some'mucous membrane. It may be In the nose, throat, lungs, or some organ of the body. It soon develops Into chronic catarrh.

One Dottle of Peruna would have readily cured it while It was yet a cold. If It becomes chronic catarrh It sometimes requires several bottles of Peruna to effect a cure. But, whether a cold or chronic catarrh, Peruna Is the remedy the world over. DARIEN LOCALS. DARIEN.

(Special Dispatch to the Evening News.) WINONA LAKE, May 13.

Outward and visible signs are already to be -seen here that a great denominational gathering Is on the tapis. Nearly all available room in hotels and boarding houses has been reserved, and men of ministerial garb and countenance have already arrived to complete the final arrangements for the Presbyterian General Assembly, which convenes here next Thursday for a session of two or perhaps three weeks. It will be the largest gathering of representatives of this great denomina Hon that has been held In the century of Its existence. It will, moreover, be one of the most Important. Church union, the question of a ritual for Presbyterian services, the proposal for separate presbyteries for colored members and plans for a Presbyterian cathedral at Washington are the principal features In the programme.

The choice of a moderator is still a mat ter of speculation. The leading candidate at present appears to be the Rev. James D. Moffat, president of Washington and Jefferson College. The general subject of church union is to come before'ihe assembly Jn vi.

rious forms. The movement for union with the Cumberland Presbyterians has carried In both bodies, but with a small majority among the Cumberlands, and with the opposition of some of the largest presbyteries, so that obstruction effort is anticipated. The plan for a congress of federation churches will call forth animated opposition, as many feel that there are already too many organizations. It Is a scheme for an alliance of reformed churches holding the Cal-vanlstlc system throughout the world. A separate movement will culminate for union with the Reformed Presby terian Church.

The overture -for separate presby teries for colored people has been carried, but the colored commissioners will make an attempt to stay the operation of the overture, the passage of which they strenuously opposed. Probably the warmest aiscussion of all will be over the report of the committee on "forms and ceremonies," STOMACH Troubles riiinrn Dr. Young's STOMACH DRAfTS wEfcsSaaafVhjy1 Ut auia.ii and NnarUm tbe atr.ee ud mmv Ul of ra. iwau. tt tbmi joa eaa Ml what too wt wMkoM hw duerw.
