Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cox of French Lick joined them for a visit. Mrs. Janie Conrad, who has a leg infection, was in Jasper Saturday consulting a doctor.

Kenneth Mills conducted a baptismal service at Paynther Creek last Thursday. children and Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Cockren. Mr.

Mrs. Arlo Krodel informed your correspondent that her nephew, Larry Stamm, son of Mrs. Loretta Stamm, and Alvin Brown, both of Haysville, left last week to attend the Barns State Teachers College in southern Georgia.

Larry received a scholarship to 'the college for his outstanding qualities in athletics. He will play on both basketball and baseball teams. They were accompanied by brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Stamm.

Watkins, Bloomfield, head of the Hartke for Senator Speakers Committee.

The two, who were beaten by Hartke in the Democratic State Convention last June, are Bartel Zandstra of Highland and Floyd Circuit Judge Paul Tegart of New Albany. Zandstra, former Lake County clerk who ran for lieutenant governor in 1956, will be chairman of the First District and Tegart will head the Eighth District. Others included: Second, Rochester Mayor William Jefferson. Third, St. Joseph Superior Judge Spencer Walton of South Bend.

Fourth, Benton Bloom of Columbia City. Fifth, Nelson Bohannan of Anderson. Sixth, George Schwin Jr. of Rock- ville. Seventh, Charles N.

DeCourcy of Linton. Ninth, Clarence Donovan of Bedford. Tenth, William Wolf of Greenfield. Eleventh, Jack Dillion of Indianapolis. will be the duty of each of these district chairman to name county or town chairmen who will speak on behalf of Mayor Hartke, Democratic candidate for U.

S. Senator, when he himself appear at a Watkins said.
