It was during this time in 1976 that Harry and Joyce and their youngest son Brent made their home in Sicamous. As a young man he helped build a downhill ski jump at Kamloops where he participated in the sport.

He played the violin and with his charm and wit entertained at a party or two. In Harry's retirement years he started the "Water Taxi" and through that business he was able to combine his love for his boat and adventuring on the Shuswap Lake. Harry passed away quietly and peacefully at Arbor House in Salmon Arm. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Ross MacDonald for his compassionate care in honouring Dad's wishes and Bruce, Brenda and the caring staff at Arbor House.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Harry's name to the "Eagle Valley Housing Society" or to the J.E. Simpson Trust Fund, through the Salmon Arm Savings Credit Union, Sicamous branch would be appreciated. The money from the fund will go towards a "Campus of Care Facility" in Sicamous.
