Miami Dolphins Test Improving Pats Sunday By United Press International The weak sisters in the East are the sacrificial lambs that the Miami Dolphins are using to attain another Eastern Division title in the National Football American Conference. Disposing of New England, New York and Buffalo in three of the last four weekends, the Dolphins start all over again Sunday against the Patriots. Earlier this season, Miami rapped Chuck Patriot crew with a 44-23 pasting. But New England has steadied a bit since then, dropping two games by a total of 10 points and upsetting the Chicago Bears, 13-10. Another interesting battle in the AFC East is the second confrontation between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.

The Steeiers lead the Bengals by one game and are still smarting from a 19-7 setback by Cincinnati on Oct. 7. A meeting of unbeatens, probably the class game of the weekend, is the Los Angeles Rams at Minnesota. Both teams have 6-0 marks, but on the records of the clubs meeting similiar opponents, Los Jasper Visits Memorial Tonite At Enlow Field The Jasper Wildcats step up to the Division of the SI AC tonight when they travel to Evansville to meet Gene Memorial Tigers at Enlow Field. The game will mark first appearance at Enlow Field since the 1963 season.

Jasper, sporting a 5-2 record after handing the Washington Hatchets their first loss of the season last Friday, will be gunning for their second win in as many tests against SIAC-A foes. Earlier this year Jasper downed Central, 14-6. Memorial started the season slowly as they dropped their first two games to Terre Haute South (60) and city foe Bosse (14-6) but since then the Tigers have won four of five games, including a 28-21 conquest of powerful Reitz. Other wins have been over North (14-7), Indianapolis Brebeuf (21-14) and Central (25-7) last weekend. Their only loss in that streak was a 7-6 setback to Mater Dei.

The game will mark the sixth meeting between Jasper and Memorial on the gridiron. Jasper won the first game in the series back in 1962, 21-14. Memorial won in at Enlow Field and the series ended until 1970. Memorial won in 1970, 33-20, Jasper followed with a 17-12 triumph in 1971 and Memorial prevailed last year, 15-0, at Jasper. Gametime is 7:30.

Enlow Field is located on East Washington Street, next to Bosse High School. The Jasper-Memorial game is the only action in the area tonight involving local teams. Angeles has to have the edge. The Rams trounced San Francisco, 40-20, but the Vikings could only manage a 17-13 win over the Forty-Niners. LA also outhustled Green Bay, 24-7; Minnesota squeezed by the Packers, 11-3.

In other Sunday games, Denver is at New York Jets, Oakland at Baltimore, San Diegoe at Cleveland, Atlanta at San Francisco, Dallas at Philadelphia, Green Bay at Detroit, New York Giants at St. Louis, Washington at New Orleans and Houston at Chicago. Kansas City is at Buffalo for the Monday night TV game. The standings are close in four of the six divisions as the NFL reaches the midway point of the season. Les Selvage, wherever he is, can sleep in peace. His name and record of 10 three-pointers on 26 attempts in a single game still stands. Lamar, one of several fine rookies in the ABA this season, exploded for 36 points to lead the Wilt Chamberlain-coached Conquistadors to a 122-102 romp over Utah. The victory broke San five-game losing streak. as the three- pointer is unimaginatively called by the league, flew all over the court as the Conquistadors connected on 11 of them.

Forward Stew Johnson contributed 29 points, including three three-pointers. Willie Wise led Utah with 19 points and John Beasley had 18. In other ABA games, San Antonio clipped New York, 8887, Memphis edged Indiana, 9391, Carolina trimmed Denver, 109-104, in overtime, and Kentucky beat Virginia, 104-99. (UPI) David Graham shot a course- record 64 before a handful of casual observers and Arnold Palmer drew his customary army of several hundred as he shot a creditable 67 in erratic fashion. The scene was the second round of the 72 hole $135,000 Sahara Invitational at the sunswept Sahara Nevada Country Club Friday. The Australian Graham had a 36-hole total of 137, five under par with his first-round 73. He was tied in sixth place with two rounds to go with Allen Miller, Pensacola, who had 65-72. Tied for the lead in the race for the $27,000 first prize were Lou Graham with a pair of 67s and young John Mahaffey, a Ben Hogan protege from Houston, who shot 134, eight under par.
