Logonsport Lends Hand For Dean Memorial FAIRMOUNT will lend an assist to the campaign to raise a sizeable memorial fund in honor of the late James Dean which to date has been carried on mainly by folks in the young home town of Fair mount. The Logansport Shrine Club will present their 751st performance of a show which features two young network television performers, Dec 15 at Fairmount.

Proceeds are to go to the James Dean Foundation's scholarship fund for drama, music and art students. Audrey Wright, a native of Fairmount who has been on Eddie TV show for the past two years, and Steve Landiss, of Gary, who is with the Horace Heidt Theatre Ranch are to appear with the Logansport Shrine Club. Title of the performance is to James Mayor Ralph Eberts, of Logansport, and several busloads of Logansport residents will come to Fairmount for the event. HOMEMAKERS The Little Kentucky Homemakers held their Christmas party Wednesday in the R.E.A. building. A delicious turkey dinner was served by Mrs. Geo. Hochgesang and her committee.

The table was decorated and Santa Claus favors were given. After dinner was served, Phyllis Knies, Sara Knies and Phyllis Hanselman entertained the club with Christmas songs. Santa Claus then distributed secret sister gifts and exchange presents. Visitors for the evening included Margie Schmitt and Roberta Hochgesang. A short business meeting was held at which time a new vice president, Mrs.

Anna Mae Hochgesang, was elected to replace Mrs. Lorene Buechlein who resigned. The favorite game was played with prizes going to Mis. Florence Henke, Mrs. Catherine Henke, Mrs.

Jane Buechlein, Mrs. Leona Hanselman and Mrs. Hilda Giesler. EXPENSIVE STOP MIAMI The French ambassador to Cuba made a brief but expensive stop in Miami Thursday before flying on to Washington, even in light of stepped-up tourist rates. The ambassador, Phillipe Grous- sete, took his eye off his brief case for a second while in the Post Office and when he looked again it was gone.

The case was found several hours later in a department store. All official papers were intact, but $1,500 in cash was missing.
