St. Stephens Turns Ground for Sanctuary Groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies for the sanctuary of St. Lutheran Church, 15950 Chatsworth Granada Hills, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. Pastor Grant V. Sorenson will preside at the ceremonies along with the president of the congregation, Hans Berg, and chairman of the building committee, Ralph Stolley.

The church, designed by the firm of Orr, Strange, Enslee, and Senefeld, features a 10-foot by 42-foot stained glass window presently on display at the Protestant Center at the New York World Fair. This window, designed and built by Roger Darricarrere, was the winning entry in a nationwide contest sponsored by the Stain Glass Window Association of America. The i i constructed by Paul W. Speer will cost $464.000 and will seat over 800 people. The church will be constructed of pre-cast concrete interspaced war who were in Arizona.

Wood has been successful in influencing men to enter full-time Christian work. The most outstanding experience was in Oceanside, where 17 young men entered the ministry. These boys are now serving in various parts of the United States.
