(UPI) Mario Fabrini, an Italian immigrant, spent nine years building his reputation as a master pizza maker, only to have it tarnished by the recall of mushrooms suspected of containing botulism. Fabbrini, 41, was told by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Feb. 19 that the firm that supplied mushrooms for his pizzas, United Canning Co.

Calley Jr. was still drawing a federal salary of $10,600 per year despite his conviction for mass murder has been retracted by the Army. Army officials said Monday that Calley was still receiving a first pay, making him in effect a salaried federal prisoner. But an Army spokesman said later Monday this information was in error. He said Calley stopped receiving his pay the day his sentence in the My Lai massacre case was signed.

That was Aug. 18, 1971, five months after his conviction for murdering at least 22 South Vietnamese civilians in the 1968 incident. statement was in the Army spokesman said. The Army Court of Military Review last week upheld both the conviction and the reduced sentence. Fire Destroys Two Stores At Elkhart ELKHART, Ind. (UPI) Fire of undetermined origin raced through part of a business block in the downtown district Monday night. About 80 firemen responded to the general alarm fire that a music store and a jewelry store virtually destroyed. The roof collapsed over both buildings.
