Club Has Christmas Meeting The Twentieth Century Literary Club held its annual Christmas dinner at the Jasper Country Club with Mesdames Wayne Newcum, William Cox and E. W. Steinkamp and Miss Victoria Urich as hostesses.

The tables were decorated with angels, small white Christmas trees and blue candles. The gift table featured a white paper tree with blue lights. The business meeting was dispensed with and members' responses to roll call pertained to the Christmas season. Mrs. Wayne Newcum gave a review of Elizabeth Christmas story, of the Angels." The evening was concluded with a gift exchange.

Preceding the ceremony the Jasper High School Concert Choir under the direction of William Balsbaugh, sang sacred Christmas selections. Maurice Gutgsell was soloist and Mrs. Dixie Greulich was organist.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Huysse and Mr. and Mrs. Roman Schmidt, all of Jasper.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Robert Hedinger, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Misses Eileen, Christine and Mary Van Huysse, also sisters of the bride, Mrs. Alfred Hoffman and Mrs. Robert Humbert, sisters of the bridegroom, and Miss Catherine Howell of Earlington, college roommate of the bride.

Miss Christine Brewer was flower girl. The groom chose his brother, Thomas Schmidt, as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Eugene, Kenneth and Mark Schmidt, the groom's brothers, Patrick and James Van Huysse, brothers of the bride, and William Muller of 337 W. Eighth. DEATH Mrs. Emma M. Kirwer, 91, Good Samaritan Nursing Home, died 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL Evansville, college roommate of the groom. Philip Schmidt, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer. The bridal attendants wore long moss green velvet with ivory crepe high rolled collars and long puffed sleeves edged with embroidered braid. Their headpieces were crescents of fresh variegated holly and pink sweetheart roses with pink velvet ribbons.

They carried bouquets of pink roses, stephanotis and holly. The flower girl wore a circlet of holly and roses with floor length streamers. She carried a basket of pink sweetheart roses and ivory stephanotis. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of ivory peau de soie and d'ange lace. The pearl-beaded lace empire bodice featured a high sculptured neckline and long leg- of-mutton sleeves.

Matching lace edged the A-line skirt and full detachable chapel train. A Camelot cap of pearl-beaded lace secured the full cathedral length veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of ivory stephantois, pink sweetheart roses, baby's breath and variegated holly. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Huntingburg Country Club. The couple is honeymooning in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Mrs. Schmidt chose a pale pink wool three-piece suit with brown accessories and a corsage of phalaenopsls orchids and stephanotis for traveling. Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt will reside in Bowling Green, where both are senior recreation majors at Western Kentucky University.
