New MLS commissioner Don Garber met with city officials Wednesday, including Mayor Dick Greco, Tampa Sports Authority executive director Henry Saavedra and Ed Turanchik, president of Florida 2012 and a member of the MLS Cup 2000 host committee. After touring Raymond James Stadium even by helicopter Garber said Tampa's chances of hosting MLS Cup 2000 look promising. "We're very close," Garber said. "If we're able to get some more details finalized, then we should have a done deal."
