They stopped near Williamstown, to see the farm where Mrs. Colburn's father was born, over 11)0 years ago. and is operated by a cousin. They slopped one day at Six Flags, then loured the Ozarks, on to Topeka. Lincoln.

Ball is Slacey's godmother. Lynn Brian and Steve Nosbisch from Waterloo accompanied their "randmother home and stayed until Friday. Friday night Mr. Mrs. A.J.

Diesburg were honored at a supper at the Sveden House, iu Waterloo to their 30th wedding anniversary. Present were all their child- ien and grandchildren. Mr Mrs. N'eil Hughes left Friday for Chicago and vis ited Mr. Mrs Orville Werner, ,1 cousin of Neil, then went on to Beloit, and spent the Labor day weekend with their daughter.

Monday, Mrs. Earl Garland and Stella Ansterud of Waverly. picked up Mrs. Tuttle wenl to Nashua and took Mrs Garland's and Mrs. Tuttle's sister-in-law, Mrs.

Reinhart Wolff, out for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Monday, Mrs. A J. Diesburg took Gloria to Mason City whore she is enrolled at I.A.C. College.

She is going to study retail merchandising. Saturday afternoon, Mr. Mrs. O.W. Powers of New Hampton.

Harriet Klassey and her sister Kate, from visited Mrs. Nora Swehla in the Avalon apartments. A large number (if relatives and friends from Ionia and surrounding territory, attended the Mass and wedding for Gary Kuehn and Connie Havlik, at the Immaculate Conception church in Elmer. A leeeptioit followed at the Memorial Hall in Elma. A wedding dance honored the couple at Lawler that eren- ing.

Mr. Mrs. Cletus Kuehn and Diannt' held a rehearsal dinner at their home Friday evening. Filty-five attended. "Neil Boehmer and fiancee, Mary Gmtert a a spent the weekend at lhe Clc- tus Kuehn home and atlended the wedding.

Neil was Gary's best man. They are cousins. GIRLS ORGANIZE A NEW CLUB A group of young girls decided to organize a fun club and named it the Flab Clan and had their firsl meeting Friday. They plan to meet weekly and have dues of five cents per meeting. They discussed their financial problems and government status.

Initiation will be when any new members are taken in. Any girl wishing to join, should contacl Janet Roths or Debbie Lowe. Mrs. David Tuttle returned Saturday night from a bus tour. She and her sister, Mrs.

Earl Garland, left by bus from Decorah through Minnesota into Canada to Mackinaw Island. They went through a portion of Michigan entering Wisconsin and going through the Delis and having a boat ride up the Dells, returning by bus to Decorah. Friday evening, Mr. Mrs. Clark Kepple visited her sis- VFW Auxiliary Plans Activities The regular meeting of the Ralph W. Nicholson Auxiliary to Post 6792 was held September 4 with Priscilla Kruger as the presiding officer. Kandi Mahan was a guest from the Charles City Auxiliary.

Helen Hulls, in behalf of the Auxiliary, presented Nancy Scharnhorst with a Fast President's pin. The Auxiliary will have a hake sale on October 5, at the Post Home with Prisciila Kruger as chairman. Nedra Sinram was not present for the second drawing ol the rot-0-Gold. Happy Birthday was sung to Iverne Simmons.

DEER CHIX RAISE The Deer Chix club met Tuesday night with Mrs. Paul Reiss with 12 members and a number of guests present. Roll call was answered by what is your favorite magazine and why. The motion was made and carried to raise the club dues to $2 per year. After the business meeting, Mr.

Mrs. Howard Wieland of rural Osagc showed slides their recent trip to Europe. Mrs. Lloyd Zubrod received the surprise package and Howard Wieland's name was drawn for the door prize. The September meeting will be in the home of Mrs.

Don Niemeyer. Lunch was served. Wednesday, Mr. Mrs. Harold Baldwin and Mr.

Mrs. Kenneth Lines visited Mr. Mrs. Vernon Baldwin in Elk Creek, and also visited their daughter. Mr.

Mrs. James Lynch won the treat box and Mrs. Jack Hoffman received the door prize. Cards furnished the evening's entertainment. The next meeting will be with Mrs.
