Pallbearers were: Walter Harder, Lou Crrell, Ray Fixsell, Wayne Camarigg, Alfred Groth and Burton Skare. Mrs Alfred Groth, Mr? Wayne Camarigg and Mrs Walter Harder cared for the flowers, and John Susie arranged the cars. Asa M. Deeds was born May 1, 1906 to James and Anna Deeds on a farm near Corxectionvine.

In the afternoon they ah went to the city to see Mrs Kenneth Susie and baby at the hospital Larry Johnson went to Winnipeg Canada Monday morning after cattle. Mr and Mrs Lars Ludvigson called on Mr and Mts Ed Ludvigson at Holstein Friday evening-Margery Phillips, a student at Mornmgside college, snenl the week end with Mr and Mis Peter Smith. Robert Hummel is suffering with an infected knee. Mr and Mrs Henry Meins, Kay-anna and Vicky were dinner guests Sunday of Mr and Mrs Lester Groepper. Baumann was born to Leonard and Mary at Claxence, Iowa on December 11, 1877.

He came with his parents to Ida County in 1885, and after that spent most of his life in the Gushing community. On March 31. 1905, he was united in marriage to Cora Mann. To this union was born one daughter. Arlene, Mrs August Fisher, of Kingsley, Iowa.

Mr and Mrs Baumann spent most of their life farming. They farmed in the dishing vicinity until 1941 when they moved to Law ton, and Just this March they bad retired from farming in Plymouth County and had made their residence in Sioux City, Iowa. Mr. Baumann suffered a stroke about two weeks ago and passed away October 30, 1957. Survivors are the widow.

Cora; a daughter, Mrs August Fisher, a brother Fred of Gary, S. and two sisters, Mrs Lydia Hughes and Mrs Bessie Kent, both of Temple City, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Charles, and a sister, Clara. Services were held at the Wilson-Hull Funeral Home, Saturday, November 2, 1957 at 1:30 p. m.

Rev. C. Q. Wallace officiated with organ selections by Dear. Cock-burn.

Pallbearers were: Dick Adden, Jim Harrison, Matt Lorenzen, Win Christensen, Ted Less, Orlan Fouts. Burial was at Battle Center cemetery, with Wilson-Hull officiating. Mr and Mrs Carl Goettsch of Holstein visited with Mr and Mrs Otto Kuchel Wednesday evening. Mr and Mrs Robert Hummel and children and Mr and Mrs Howard Vohs of Galva were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Francis Hummel at Denison Sunday. Mr and Mrs Arthur Beers of Correct ion ville visited Mrs Alfred Beers Friday afternoon.

Mr and Mrs Elmer Susie visited Mrs Susie's parents. Mr and Mrs Walter Schug at Ida Grove on Friday afternoon. Tuesday afternoon Mrs Irene Schubert and Mrs Bertha Carstens of Holstein visited Mrs LaVarne Grell. A Mr and Mrs Dale Anderson took Beverly, Leo, Lyle and Peggy Hunwardsen to the Sioux Valley hospital in Cherokee Sunday afternoon to see their father, Paul Hunwardsen who is ill with pneumonia. While there they called on Harley Lewis of CorTectionville who had his collar bone and some ribs broken.

He had been trying to crank a tractor and a truck driven by his son Everett Lewis, backing up slid sideways in the mud pinning him between the tractor and truck. Mr. Lewis is Mrs Virgil Bottjen's father. Mr and Mrs Reynold Grell and family visited in the Wilbur God-berson home at Holstein Friday evening.
