Radio operator service awards were given to Marilyn Wallick and Beverly Patton, 5 years; and Ruth Roewert and Betty Mapes, 10 years. Directors LaVern Clausen and Victor Olson received 5 year awards and Director Leo Hall received an award for 15 years of service. The balance of the evening was spent in visiting and dancing. KOPKE The body of Henry J. Kopke will lie in state at the David City Memorial Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today. Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in David City, the Rev.

Arthur Shornach officiating, and burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Rising City. Mr. Kopke, 73, died Saturday in the Seward Memorial Hospital. He resided in this area for most of his life, being born Aug. 3,1901 in Rising City to John J.

and Anna Klintworth Kopke. Survivors include brothers, Peter of Gresham, John of Garrison, Herman of Rising City, Eilet of Columbus, Martin of Osceola and Edwin of Rising City, sisters, Hilda Voss and Dorothy Voss, both of Seward. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Kallenbach. POLLARD Asa A. Pollard, 61, prominent longtime Clarks businessman, died Saturday at Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha.

He was owner-operator of the Pollard Propane and Oil Co. from March, 1938, to January, 1973, when he retired because of ill health. The business is now operated by his sons, Asa L. and Rod. Funeral services will be 10 a.m.

Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, Clarks, with burial in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Kaup will officiate. Rosary service is 8 p.m.

Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek where the body will lie in state after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Lifetime resident of Clarks, Mr. Pollard was bom there July 23,1913 to William J. and Maude Vanderhalf Pollard.

He was a member of St. Peter Church and Holy Name Society. On Nov. 17,1938 he married Roma G. Ruff at St.

Peter Church, and she survives. Also surviving are four sons, Asa Rod and Randy of Clarks and Jerry, a student at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Julia P. Osborne of Sherman Oaks, and Mrs. Ralph (Dolan) Lundahl of Menlo Park, Calif.

His parents and a brother, John, preceded him in death. COLEMAN Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Coleman, 97, of Costa Mesa, a former resident of Leigh, were Dec. 9 in California. Mrs.

Coleman died Dec. 5 al Briston Convalescent Hospital after a stroke. Margaret Coleman was born March 27, 1877, at Fremont, the daughter of Peter and Msry Gillespie Flannigan. She moved with her parents to a farm north of Snyder. She received her education in the Dodge County schools, attended Fremont Normal and taught school in Dodge County.

She was married to Thomas Coleman at St. Leo Catholic Church in Snyder and they made their home at Leigh until his death in 1953 when she moved to California. She is survived by one son, John, of Fustin, two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Hazel) Siegel, Costa Mesa, and Mrs. Adolph (Margaret Ann) Barjenbruch of Leigh, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son in infancy, four brothers and three sisters. Graduate at Wayne Mary Ann Frisch, Madison, was among seven seniors to be graduated summa cum laude at winter commencement exercises at Wayne State College. These honorees had grade-point averages of 3.8 or higher. Sharon Schacher, Columbus, and Edwin Havlovic, Brainard, were included in the list of magna cum laude graduates whose grades averaged 3.5 to 3.79.
