BY GAEIL FARRAR Tribune Staff Writer The newly elected Cariboo South NDP constituency group is dedicated to creating a grass roots voice for the people of the Cariboo-Chil-cotin in Victoria, says newly elected constituency president Terry Tate. "Obviously we don't have one from our MLA so we are going to make one for ourselves," says Tate. "Our objective is to assist other community activists in whatever capacity we can." Whether the issue is health care, services for seniors, education, land use, softwood lumber tariffs, First Nations issues, or economic development, he says the newly elected constituency directors and executive have the skills to provide assistance where it may be needed. "We are not starting a big membership campaign but will work with those who1 have programs underway and assist them wherever we can," says Tate.
