OLIVE MALPASS passed away peacefully at Enderby Hospital. Age 84 years. Olive's family were pioneers of the area, she was born in Armstrong and lived in the Enderby area all her life. In 1931 she married Thomas Malpass at Armstrong and worked with him in his companies including Malpass Lumber Poles Ltd. Olive worked and supported Enderby and District Hospital and the Museum.

She was also active in the Chamber of Commerce, enjoyed travelling and cards. Olive will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Cleo Jones, Enderby; son George (Gisele), Vancouver; 2 grandchildren Tom Malpass, N. Vancouver and Janice Roote, Whistler; 1 greatgrandchild Jaimie Roote, Whistler; brother Walter, Vancouver and many friends. She was predeceased by husband Thomas in 1991. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m.

Sat. June 8, at St. Andrew's United Church, Enderby, Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Burial in family plot Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby.

Arrangements in the care of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL Home. Donations in memory of Olive may be made to Palliative Care, Enderby and District Memorial Hospital. MR. WILLIAM (BILL) SICH. a long time resident of Vernon, was called Home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 3rd, 1996 at the age of 94 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by one stepdaughter and son-in-law; Elfriede Herbert Steffl of Vernon, B.C., two step-sons and daughters-in-law; Eric Hedy Neitsch and Theodor Elfriede Neitsch, all of Winfield, B.C., seven grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; Leo Lydia Sieg of Edmonton, Alberta, three sisters; Emily Malzahn of Vernon, B.C., Therese of Poland and Lukadia of Germany and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service was held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Friday, June 7th, 1996 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend E. Rath officiating.

The Morning Star HAPPY OCCASIONS 018 Lordy, Lordy, look who 40! Happy Birthday Annette Love from the Family, POPOFF We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on June 7, 1996, of MR. MICHAEL JOHN POPOFF, at the age of 78 years. Michael was a career member of the Canadian Army and a veteran of the Second World War. He was a resident of Vancouver prior to moving to Vernon in the early 1970s. Michael will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Margaret; and sons: Dan (Debbie) of Vernon and Greg (Mary) of Purcell, Oklahoma.

He is survived also by grandchildren: Keirsten (Toshi), Heather, Jamie, Michael, Jeremy, and Megan; sisters: Florence, Eunice (Vic) and Marion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Cremation. Friends are invited to join the family on Sunday, June 9, between 2 PM and 4 PM, at 1800-32 Vernon; at a reception honoring Michael's life and memory. TURNBULL We regret to announce the sudden and tragic death of DARLENE JUNE TURNBULL at her home on May 30th, at the age of 47 years. Darlene was a resident of Vernon since 1988. She dearly loved nature and the outdoors; hunting, camping and fishing; and especially horseback riding. Darlene will be sadly missed by her son, Walter (Shannon) of Armstrong: grandchildren: Brandon, Kenneth, and Chelsea: brothers Brian and Allen of Lillooet; sister Gayle Redan of Lillooet; and her former husband, Ken Turnball of Tumbler Ridge. She is also survived by many nieces.

He will be deeply mourned by his loving wife, Anastasia and son David as well as by countless students and fellow musicians.I Harry was loved by all that knew him.
