Sumter L.

Lowry, popular young Tampan, who has been in France with the American expeditionary forces for the last three months and a half, returned to Tampa last night, having been mustered out at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. He reached New York about a week ago the steamship Colonial and went first Camp L. where he was placed charge of nrty men due at camp uor-don. and at the latter place he was sent Fort Osrlethorre 250 men. all of whom were mustered out, it being the policy of the governmeri to muster out men as near home as possible.

Captain Lowry. who has been absent from Tampa since the beginning of the CAPT. S. L. LOWRY war between the United States and Germany, having been first sent to Camp Wheeler.

Macon, In command of Company National Guard of Florida, was very glad to get back to Tampa and again be with his family, and there was a regular family reunion at his home last night. Captain Lowry, to a Tribune man expressed his gratification at being back in this country again and with family and friends, and stated that he will now take up civil pursuits. Dldnt Get Into Active Fight The old Second Florida regiment, of which company was a part, was used as replacement troops, only a skeleton of the old formation being left when the regiment went over last fall with the Dixie division. And the Dixie division was in large part used for replacement purposes, so that the men of the original Tampa company and Florida regiment were scattered tthroughout the army. After reaching France Captain Lowry was placed in command of the Three Hundred and Thirty-first infantry company composed almost entirely of men from Cleveland, O.

Had the war lasted only a little longer this company would have been in the thickest of the fighting, but the armistice having bsen signed soon after his arrival, Captain Lowry was not able to get into the actual fighting, which also was a source of disappointment to him. Tampans who knew him are certain he would have made a splendid record for himself under fire, even as he has done ever since he has been in the Federal service. His trip to Europe, however, was on the whole a very pleasant one, said Captain Lowry, who declared he had seen many things of interest. The principal excitement which he witnessed was not in connection with the war but connection with the armistice, which brought a wild celebration. Other Tampans Coming Soon Captain Lowry stated that he was no! accompanied to the United States by any other Tampa men, but.

believes, that others will be here very soon. Among those he mentioned are James of his old company, and Sergeants Ep ping and Means, as well as Lieutenant Zewadski. Tampans and south Flori-dians he saw or heard of while abroad and the place where they Were stationed at that time, Captain Lowrv gave as follows: Lieut. I. W.

White of Tampa is somewhere near Paris: Lieut. BufhneM of Tampa is at St. Nazaire; Capt. Ed Vestal of Plant City Is at the same place: Maj. V.

B. Collins is at LeMans and will soon be on his way home if he hasn't already started. Lieut. Vic Covington is with the Eighty-second division. Captain Lowry declared that during tne.

THE FORUM LITHIA AND ITS SPRINGS Editor Tribune: A few days ago the public was given, through the columns of your excellent paper, some informa tion, relative to the big spring near Lithia. In these articles the spring was designated as "Lithia Springs," this.

though unintentional, is misleading as the real Lithia Hprlngs are right near Lithia, while the big spring from which it Is proposed to supply water for the city of Tampa, is Just three miles from Lithia. Before there was such a place as Lithia, and indeed before the S. A. built its Sarasota division throueh that section of the county, Rev. Charles Kingsley discovered the Lithia upring from which the station.

Lithla. received its name. Mr. Kingsley purchased the springs and surrounding land and does not offer it for sale at alV. but retains It for a home when he shall retire from the ministry.

While making this correction the writer does not discredit th been said in favor of the bl sprl question, but would like to. add hi mony to the truthfulness -nd jutlce of the claims made for It. Your body is made up of cells each one too small to be seen except under a powerful microscope, each one a workman that has to be fed, buiit up, rebuilt, cleansed of waste matter, encouraged to do its work efficiently.

The blood does this. Impure, impoverished or poisoned blood starves, irritates or poisons cells all over the body. Nerve cells when irritated or starved protest in the form of Eczema, Tetter. Boils. No one ever heard of a person being afflicted with any form of skin diseases whose blood was in good condition.
