The 32-year-old touring Mark-ham pro won the tournament in 1952 and 1954 and was runner-up last year. Tucker, 46-year-old veteran from Kitchener Rockway, collected $650. Balding defeated Toronto's Joe Noble of Toronto Thornhill 3 and 2 in the morning semi-final during which he took ill at the seventh hole. He suffered a sudden siege of nausea a recurrence of heart palpitations which have plagued him in recent months.

SHOWS SPORTSMANSHIP Noble. agreed to delay the match until Balding felt well enough to continue. Technically, Noble could have claimed the match but he waited for about an hour while Balding rested. Tucker reached the final with a one-up victory over Bill Kozak, an unattached pro from Port Robinson, Ont. Balding showed no ill effects of his illness in the' final against Tucker.
