Couple Says Vows At St. John's Wedding vows were exchanged July 13 by Miss Sylvia Rae Stabenow and Michael "Charles Barf in St. John United Church of Christ, the Rev. Philip Anstedt, pastor, and the Rev. John Bui-horn Jr.

of Dubuque, Iowa, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ardith Stabenow.of Lena and the late. Raymond' L. Stabenow.

Mr. Barr is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard. D.

Barr, 909 S. Carroll Ave. The altar was decorated with an arrangement of white gladioli' and coral- tinted carnations, accented with greens: Nuptial music was played.by Mrs. Derk Duthler, who also accompanied the soloist, Miss'Carol White of Apple River. The couple lighted a wedding candle during the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Allen of Lena. She wore a gown of embroidered peau de soie, designed with a round neck, capped sleeves and A-line skirt. The front was accented with covered buttons and two. rows of candlelight lace. A bow and streamers marked'--the back The skirt fell into a chapel-length train.

A flower petal headpiece held her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of; Tropicana roses, white carnations and purple asters, accented with babies'- breath and ivy. Miss Susan Maaske of Orangeville was maid of honor, and Miss Maralee Floski was Bridesmaid; They wore Aline gowns of coral crepe styled similarly to the bride's. They carried nosegays of white carnations, Tropicana roses and babies'-breath. They also wore headpieces of off-white ribbon with coral-tinted babies'-breath.

Allison Stabenow of Lena was flower girl. She wore an A-line gown of flocked crepe with a front panel of co- crepe. The gown had short, puffed sleeves of coral with bands of the. flocked crepe and a coral flounce at the hemline. She also wore a headband of coral-tinted babies'-breath and carried a basket of Tropicana rose petals.

Rich Kobre of Dubuque served as best man. Groomsman was Ken Cummins. Ushers were Ernie Pasion of Chicago and Marc Herman of Manchester, Iowa. A reception for 125 guests followed in the church parlors. The tables were draped-with white linen and the cake had a lighted fountain incorporated in it.

The bride is a 1971 graduate of Orangeville High School and a 1974 graduate of Highland Community College School of Practical Nursing. She was employed, by Freeport Memorial Hospital. The bridegroom is a 1971 graduate of High School and a 1975 graduate of the University of Dubuque. He will attend the United Theological Seminary of New Brighton, Minn. After a short honeymoon, the couple is residing at Apt.

Sue Nisly was organist and Linda Kortemeier, soloist. The bride chose a double-knit jersey gown with laqe bodice and sleeves. Her was attached to a flowered headpiece. Her bouquet consisted of yellow roses, daisies, strawflowers, starflowers, stephanotis, ferns and ivy. Maid of honor was Miss Debbie Weaver of Hartville.

She wore a yellow dacron polyester gown with a flowered chiffon overlay. The bridesmaids, Webb of North Canton, rMiss Leona Weaver, Mrs. Henry Schlabach and Miss Viola Troyer, all of Hartville, wore orange dacron polyester downs with flowered Chiffon overlays. They carried fireside baskets of yellow daisies, strawflowers, starflower and ferns and wpre headpieces of the same type flowers. Ray Yoder of Belleville, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Ray Weaver and Ken Lubbers. Ushers were Tom Weaver and Jeff Lubbers. Guests were entertained after the ceremony at a reception in the fellowship hall of the church. Mrs. Lubbers is a graduate of Lake High School in Hartville.

Her husband is a Freeport High School graduate and is a student at Goshen College in Goshen, Ind. The wedding of Miss Nancy Ann Noller and Ronald Jay Farrington took place at 3 p.m. Aug. 31 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, with the Rev.

Michael Shanahan performing the'cer- emony. White gladioli and blue carnations were used on the altar for the double- ring service. The organist was Miss Karen Niemeier and soloist was James Noller. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Orville Noller of Farrington's foster parents are Mr. and Mrs." Charles Cbpeland of- Madison, Wis. Lace Over Blue Ivory lace over ice blue taffeta fashioned the gown of the bride. It was styled with a high collar, sheer yoke, long straight sleeves, all trimmed with Venise lace edging. She carried a yel- low rose, and Mrs.

James Noller of Lefia was tron of 3ionor. She wore a shrimp-col- oreel.nylon with stand-up collar, long, flowing wing sleeves'and beige Tack insej at the midriff. She carried yeltojjy rose, babies'-breath and Herbert Gundlaqh of Madison was best man. Ushers were Woody Marty of Madison and James Noller.
