Spring Suddenly Comes Ta Life SUMMERLAND, B. C. (P. A spring. which suddenly started flowing at the bottom, of a cliff near here, cutting a channel down a gulch to.

Okanagan, Lake, is. lieved here to be the result of earthquake which shook sections, of British Columbia during the summer. The channel crossed Number Five highway and the flow threatens to, sweep. H. Wilson's orchard into the gulch.

Already it has carried silt. which has filled up an acre or so of lake frontage. Engineers from Kelowna and Penticton have inspected the area, and have offered their aid in controlling it. The flow is continuing but has diminished considerably, Chinese Suffer Knife Wounds VANCOUVER (P- Two Chinese Hubert Lee, 24, and George Marr, 22, are in hospital here today with knife wounds and police are searching for their assailants. Police reported the men became involved in a fight with several other men and two women shortly after midnight.
