HABERDASHERY Charles Ruder PERU Charles Ruder, 82, 527 W. Sixth died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday in Dukes Hospi. tal. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Eikenberry Funeral Home.

Fernanda Vitello LOGANSPORT Services for Mrs, Fernanda Vitello, 56, 1308 Smead will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Vincent's Catholic Church. Mrs. Vitello died at 2:15 p.m.

Thursday at the Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Edward; one son, Donald of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Gloria Simpson of Kokomo and two grandchildren. Rosary services will be read at 8 p.m. Friday at the Kroeger Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m.

Rites will be conducted by Monsignor John P. Schall. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Kathryn Boughman LOGANSPORT Services for Kathern Boughman, 46, of '-Lima, -Ohio 'pending the Hagenkamp Funeral Home in Lima. Mrs.

Boughman was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital at 9:50 a.m. Thursday after she became ill at the home of her sister, Mrs. J.H. Ricciardi of Logansport. In addition to her sister of Logansport she is survived by her husband, Fred; four sons, Joseph at home, Lanny and James of Lima, Ohio and Michael of the U.S.

Navy. Two additional sisters, Mrs. Donald Malosh and Mrs. Edward Weaver of Toledo also survive along with several nieces and nephews. The body was removed from the Kroeger Funeral Home to the Hagenkamp Funeral Home.

Pete Speroff Services will be at 2 p.m. today in fillers Funeral Chapel for Pete V. Speroff, 69, 1045 S. Indiana who died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday in Howard Community Hospital.

Burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery. Mr. Speroff had been ill three years. A native of Vital, Yugoslavia, he was born May 20, 1898, and for the past 55 years was a Kokomo resident. He married Miss Nellie Bailey in 1924.

She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Mary) Drake, Kokomo, and Mrs. Everett (Rebecca) Michael, Indianapolis; two sons, Richard and James, both of Kokomo; eight grandchildren and a brother who lives in Yugoslavia. Mr.

Speroff retired in 1963 from Continental Steel where he had been employed for 37 years. He worked in the sheet galvanize department and was a member of Steel Workers Local 1054. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. John Brenton Rev.

Earl Seitz will officiate at services for John I. Brenton, 66, 911 S. Webster, at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. Mr. Brenton died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in St.

Joseph Hospital, where he had been a patient for a month. The son of Charles C. and Obituaries Effie (Hiatt) Brenton, he was born April 10, 1901, near Greentown, and spent all of his life in the Kokomo and Greentown areas. Mr. Brenton had worked in the machine shop of Kingston Products where he was employed for 40 years.

He was a Moose Lodge member. On Sept. 24,1927, Mr. Brenton married Madge Welsh, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs.

Harold (Beverly) Crume and Mrs. Robert (Becky) Wilson, both of Kokomo; five grandchildren; two brothers, Edward, San Bernardino, and Ronald, Russiaville; three sisters, Mrs. Valda Martin, Lake Mills, Mrs. FernSharp, Terre Haute, and Mrs. Lela Conners, Kokomo; nieces and nephews.

Maude Titus Rev. Dwight McClure will officiate at services at 10 a.m. Saturday for Mrs. Maude May 400S-14W, in Zion EUB Church. Mrs.

Titus died at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Windsor Estates after an extended illness. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at Ellers Funeral Chapel after 2 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior to services.

The daughter of David and Melissa (Tyler) Harrefl' she was born Oct. 14, 1888, in Howard Township, Howard County, and except for a few years when the family was in Oregon lived in this vicinity her entire life. She was married to George Titus in 1904. Mr. Titus survives along with a daughter, Mrs.

Albert (Edith) Hendrix, RR Logansport; a son, Herschel, 400S-13W; 10 grandchildren, including Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Pearcy, Miami, and Mrs. (Nada) Cunningham, RR 6, Kokomo, who were raised in her home; 27 great grandchildren; two great great- grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Hiatt, Greentown; a brother, Russell Harrell, Windfall; nieces and nephews. Leota Hughes KEMTPON Funeral services for Mrs.

Leota Hughes, 89, RR 1, Sharpsville, who died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones Nursing Home, Marion, will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel A. Webb officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sharpsville cemetery. Friends may call at the McMullan Rude Funeral Home, Kempton, after 2 p.m. Saturday. The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding services. She was born in Clinton County Jan.

7,1878, the daughter of John andSamantha(Cer- ter) Hillis and was married to Samuel Hughes, died in 1949. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Edna Watkins, Russiaville, and Mrs. Helen Ferguson, Kokomo; and two step-daughters, Mrs.

Virginia Baker, Warren, Ohio, and Mrs. Imogene Vander, Light House Point, Fla. Mable Harrison RUSSIAVILLE Funeral services for Mrs. Mable E. Harrison, 68, RR 6, will be at 2 p.m.

Friday in the Stout Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may call any time at the Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville. Mrs.

Harrison died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday inHowardCom- munity Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past seven years. Born in Boyleston, Feb. 10, 1899, she was the daughter of Robert and Jessie (Myers) Booher.

She was married on Jan. 5, 1920 to Ben Harrison who survives with two granddaughters, Mrs. Bernadine Woodruff and Cathryn Conner, both of Kokomo, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Alley, Kokomo, and Mrs. Furnetta Conner, Chicago.

She had been an employe of Montgomery Ward and Co. and the Indiana Bell Telephone Co. for several years. A member of the Alto Methodist Church, she was also a member of the New London Order of Eastern Star and was a past matron of that organization. Albert Bankert DELPHI Albert W.

Bank- err, .84, 101 S. Union, died Wednesday at 6:10 p.m. at the Fix Community Home, Delphi. He had been ill since June. Born Jan.

23, 1883 in Chi- cago, he was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Hemmer) Bankert. He was married to Cathryn Moriarty, Aug. 5, 1929, in Chicago and retired as general traffic manager of the Libby McNeil Libby Chicago. He had been a resident of Delphi for the past three months. He was a member of St.

Lawrence Catholic Church, Chicago, and the Holy Name Society of that church. Surviving with the widow is one daughter, Mrs. Stephen A. Young, Delphi, one grandchild and two children. Funeral services will be 9 a.m.

Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi, with the Rev. W. Michael Kettron officiating. Burial will be in the Mt.

Olivet Cemetery, Chicago, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Friends may call at the Sullivan-Lloyd Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Friday. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.

Vaile, was convicted in city court Wednesday of operating a motorcycle without proper headgear. Whitecotton was arrested on the charge recently. (See Story, Page 5). Other cases included: James A. CITY COURT Howard County deputies arrested John Roland Moore, 52, Hemlock, ye st a on charges of carrying a gun without a permit, driving without a valid operator's license, falce registration iivi child Also arrested on a charge of child neglect was Jane Moore, 33, Hemlock. Four local youths arrested on charges of the illegal possession of alcoholic beverages, curfew violation and delinquency after being arrested in an alley adjacent to a liquor store. The youths told police they found the liquor which police found in their possession.

Arms talks KHARTOUM, Sudan (UPI) A Soviet mission will arrive Thursday for talks on Soviet arms supplies with the Sudan and other "technical issues," the Middle East news agency reported Wednesday.
