Waldo Reynolds, a prominent citizen of Union township, was killed while at work in the woods on Sunday. He was chopping down a rotten tree, and when it fell it struck Mr. Reynolds crushing his head aud killing him instantly.

The tree fell in a different, direction from that expected. Mr Reynolds ran, but stumbled. Later reports say he lived about five hours. Out on the big prairie ranches of West-cm Kanses and Nebraska farmers are now in such haste to get their fall plowing finished that they are running big steam plows at night, with headlights on the motor engines. Thus they are able to turn over sixty acres of land in twenty-four hours with only two men working in shifts. Two men working in the old way could only plow about six acres a day. Within the past year 250 steam plows have been sold. Denatured Alcohol.

4- More Siamese Twins. R. G. Austin, a former well known resident and business man of Wlellsboro, who is now located near Wheeling, W. in writing the editor of the Gazette reports a strange birth.

A woman named Mis. George t'ullom, of Moundsville, a few miles from the home of Mir. Austin, gave birth one day last week, to Siamese twins, perfect in every way and joined together at the back. The two bodies were attached at the umbilical region and are perfect in shape. They have two spinal cords, four shoulders, four arms and the fingers arc normal.

One of the faces is masculine and the other feminine. The breathing is alternate, the two heads take nourishment and cry naturally. Below the point of union the trunk is normal, but there is a third leg attached to the hip. Mrs. Cullom is only 18 years of age.

George Gaylord, of Mcshoppen, after standing on the top of an eel weir for several hours and yelling for help, was rescued from his perilous position by Charles White.

He, in company with two other men. had visited their eel weir in the river at that place and after a short time the men accompanying left, expecting to return in a short time. For some reason they forgot Gaylord, who was left without a boat. The river was rising rapidly and he began to realize his position and climbed to the top of the weir and called for help. The water was almost to the top of the weir before he was rescued.
