Houses Carried Away by the Bursting of a Dam--The Dead and Mlsainr. INQERSOLL, April seven o'clock this morning the dam at Luing's mill, situated on a small creek which empties into the Thames river about one eighth of a mile up the creek from tho river, gave away, and the water oame down with a rush through the mill yard, and across Laing street, on which was located a frame terrace containing four tenements, throe of which W3re occupied. The force of tho water carried away these buildings which floated down to the stream with their living freight. The buildings soon brokj to fragments, and several of the pants wore drowned. Bowman, aged was found drowned, and a sou fourteen years old is missing. A son of Mr. McLean, about eighteen years old, was found dead in a pile of railway ties and cordwood on the bank of the stream. A child of Mr. Laird was found drowned, hnVin? been caught in a coil of wire fonc- ing.
