Henkle, 71, of 532 Twenty-ninth who died of a heart attack Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand avenue with burial in Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Henkle, born in Lake KENNETH F. City, had lived HENKLE in Des Moines 70 vears. He was an accountant and operated the Business Analysis Service, 302 Masonic Temple Building. He was a graduate of East High School, and Drake University, and attended Drake University Law School.

He was a past master of Pioneer Masonic Lodge, a past potentate of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, and a member of both state and national Public Accountants Associations. He was a member of the Des Moines Consistory, Temple Commandery, Royal Order of Jesters, Order of White Shrine, and Des Moines Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Thomas J. Crane of New Carrolton, and Mrs.

Paul E. Gorham of Indianola; a son, Dr. Robert F. of Port Washington, and 12 grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital or the Shrine Hospital for Burns Research.

Robert L. Veach Rites Thursday Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Cemetery for Robert L. Veach, 74, formerly of 622 S.E. Ninth st.

Mr. Veach, a resident of the Iowa Soldiers Home at Marshalltown the past two months, died of a heart attack Sunday at Veterans Hospital here. A native of Missouri, Mr. Veach had lived in Des Moines 52 years and was a retired funeral director. He was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Marushak and Mrs. Rosa Roberts, both of Des Moines, and two brothers, Jesse of Exline and Earl of Knoxville. The body is at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Satellites ECHO I Wednesday -No visible pass.

Proposals will be acted upon by the Board of Directors of the Des Moines Independent Community School District. Notice is also hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Des Moines Independent Community School District will meet in the Board Room at the District's Administrative offices, 1800 Grand Avenue, in the City of Des Moines, lowa, on the 17th day of June, 1969 at 2:00 o'clock p.m, C.D.T., for a hearing on the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract and cost of said improvements. The work snall consist of providing and incorporating into the work all materials, labor and equipment required and reasonably incidental to the execution of the work as detailed in the plans and specifications now on file with the Purchasing Agent, and work: proposals will be received for the following Power Plant Renovation Roosevelt High School Des Moines, Iowa The method of construction of all improvements, and the furnishing of all equipment, labor and services shall be by contract in accordance with the plans and specifications and general stipulations for said improvement, approved by the Board of Directors of the School District. Each proposal shall be made on a form furnished by the School District and must be accompanied by a check, certified by an lowa bank, and filed in an envelope separate from the one containing the proposal, sealed and in an amount equal to give per cent of the amount of the proposal, made to the Des Moines Independent Community. School District, and may be cashed as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract within ten (10) days and post bond satisfactory to the School District, insuring the faithful performance of the contract and maintenance of said improvement as required by law.

The award of contract may be made by the Board of Directors of the Des Moines Independent Community School District to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment service at the lowest price, taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interests of the School District. The right is reserved to reiect any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the Des Moines Independent Community School District. Work on all contracts shall commence as soon as practicable after the award and shall be substantially completed on or before September 2, 1969. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of lowa, and to Iowa domestic labor. Plans and specifications governing the construction of the proposed improvement able for distribution from Frank Pulley Associates, Consulting Engineers, Des Moines, lowa, which plans and specificaand the proceedings of the School District referring to and defining said improvement, are hereby made a part of this notice, and the proposed contract by reference; and the proposed contract shall be executed therewith.

Plans, specifications and contract documents for the work are on file in the office of the Secretary of the Board of the Des Moines Independent Community School District.
