Dr. and Mrs. Cheatham entertained the Matrimonial Suchra Club last Wednesday evening. The operetta for the benefit of the Kentucky Humane Society at Dixon Hall, In Parkland, last evening, was a most successful affair, both financially and socially. Called the story of toe Seven Dwarfs, and presented by a handsome and accomplished cast, the performance passed off smoothly before a large audience.

New scenery had been painted, and the forty little folks In the play acquitted themselves most admirably. The success of the entertainment ts mainly due to the' untiring efforts of Misses Edyth Fitch and Fanny Brown, who were Its promoters. Miss Blakemore had caught the grace ot motion and look which youthful poets fancy when they love, and her glorious beauty seemed to be the gift of Heaven, so pure and holy it seemed In Its pcrfectness.
