The water above the dam is deep enough to swim for quite a distance and much safer than belo wthe falls as there is no deep holes, though back of the dam it will be over five feet deep. church, beginning at 1 o'clock. Songs and re-citations from the following schools: Bunker Hill M. E. and Baptist, Anoka, Nead, Pipe Creek and New Waverly. Also other schools have been united that are expected.

Logan, who is still very- low. Quite a number of Burrows people attended the James Hildebrandt funeral at Rockfield on Sabbath. The district Sunday school convention will meet in Burrows on Wednesday night and Thursday of this week. Little Johnnie Lymon had his collar bone broken Sunday in a'fall while playing. Don't let anyone tell you our town is dead for it is not.

We have as thrifty a little burg as there is along the Wabash and people are ready to meet any kind of emergencies with the right spirit, let come what may. Miss Mary Been entertained the Girls' Thimble club this week. Arthur Mullen is teaching in Cass county this fall, the former teacher having resigned the- position. A L. The Aid society held an all day sew- ing Wednesday at the church and in the afternoon were entertained at a "hen" party given by the officers of the Junior league. Contests and Jokes furnished amusements and rei'resh- ments were served and all enjoyed a fine time. The Juniors are happy, having cleared over $.11, which goes toward the support 6f Missionary Cot- tingbam and wife in the Philippaue Islands.
