The Butts house was ripped off its foundation and tossed about 50 feet to one side. All outbuildings were flattened except a (right rear) that had its roof blown off. Trees were stripped of branches or blown down. The Butts family escaped by fleeing to the basement and getting under a table there when they saw the storm approach.
