Seniors Plan Spring Dance The Illinois Woman's College girls of the West and East Senior Houses will entertain with their spring dance this evening in the Senior Houses. The rooms will be beautifully decorated with spring flowers. About 11 o'clock an attractive buffet supper will be served to the Rirls and their guests. Twenty couples will be in attendance at the dance. Chaperones for the evening will be Miss Hazel Riggs, class advisor, and Mrs.

C. M. Hart. The committee in charge of the dance includes, Miss Lucile Elzey. general chairman; Miss Blanche Roller, Miss Thelma Priestley, Miss Marian Libbev and Miss Kathleen Wallace.

J. H. Seniors Will Enjoy Party The senior class members of the Jacksonville high school will enjoy a party this evening in the gymnasium of the high school. Only the members who have paid t.heir class dues will be admitted to the party. An evening of games has been planned by the committee in charge and refreshments will be served.

One object of the party is to enable Principal Mutch to become better acquainted with the members of the graduating class. Lutheran Church Guild Meets The Ladies Guild of the Lutheran church held their regular business meeting Thursday in the church basement, the president, Mrs. Wm. C. Brune.

presiding The afternoon was pleasantly spent in sewing. Mrs. Clarence Muehlhausen was welcomed into the societv as a new member. Charles Ray Gruny has opened an office for the general practice of law in the Morrison Building on West State street. He will be associated with Mayor John Reeve.

Mr Gruny is by no means a stranger to Jacksonville. He came to Illinois college in 1920, graduating, in the class of 1924. He was a mem- ber of the debating team for three years, president of Phi Alpha and editor of Rig Veda. Later he was elected a member of the Osage society, sn organization of the Senior Men of Illinois college. While he was in Jacksonville, for two years Mr.

Gruny served under Mr. Woolston at the School for the Blind. In the summer of 1928 Mr. Gruny completed his law course at. George Washington University Law school, Washington.

D. receiving the L. L. 13. degree.

Mr. Gruny passed the Illi- nois Bar examination in November! 1928. and on April 11, 1929, was ad- mitted to the practice of law by the supreme court. During his residence in Washington Mr. Gruny was employed in the capacity of an attorney in the commercial laws division of the Department of Commerce and is the author of a number of government publications and magazine articles.

Gruny is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta national legal fraternity. His friends in Jacksonville will wcl: come him and be pleased to know of his decision to become a citizen of this community. TEL. 676 Three Jacksonville women were painfully but not seriously injured in an automobile accident Wednesday night in the hard road near New Berlin as they were enroute to attend a Pocahontas lodge meeting in Springfield. The sedan in which they were making the trip, belonging to Mrs. Laura Larson, was pactiaclly demolished when it overturned. Mrs.

Larson, Mrs. Sadie Seymour and Mrs. Clara Wyatt of this city and a Peoria woman were going to attend the meeting. In attempting to pass a truck, it is reported, the Jacksonville car skidded off the pavement and turned over. Mrs.

Larson sustained an injury to her arm and other bruises. It- was at first feared that a fracture had resulted. but examination did not reveal a fracture. Mrs Seymour suffered an injury to her head and cuts on one ankle. Both Mrs.

Wyatt and the Peoria resident were cut on the face by shattered glass. The women were given medical attention and went on to Springfield. Megginson-Bown Paul Megginson of Woodson and Mrs. Susan M. Bown of Riverside, were united in marriage Wednesday at Woodson, Rev.

J. C. Daii, pastor of the Christian church, officiating. The ceremony was witnessed by Simpson S. Megginson and Roy S.
