ADAMS AS EXAMINER OF BLIND Announcement was made Wednesday that the county board of commis- isoners has appointed Dr. A.

L. Adams as examiner of the blind in Morgan County. All cases relating to the blind will now be referred to Dr. Adams. This appointment does not conflict in any manner with ths duties of Dr.

J. H. Spencer, coanty physician. who has previously handled the blind cases. Dr.

Adams will examine all persons who make application for blind pensions. It is understood that blind persons in the county now receiving pensions will be re-examined within the coming months. Charles J. Mattson of Springfield, a deputy from the state fire marshal's office, was in the city Wednesday, and made a thoro inspection of the public school buildings. He paid particular attention to the three old buildings in the second, third and fourth wards. The deputy failed to state the results of his inspection, as his report has to be made thru official channels. A written report from the office of the state fire marshal will be sent to the Board of Education within, a few days.
