Tuesday night, September 18th, at the High School, the Seniors gave the Freshman a Hazing Party. At seven o'clock all the Freshman were there. They were supposed to come at eight, but not wanting to miss anything they came an hour too early, and they didn't miss (one) thing. They were entertained on the campus until all the Seniors arrived. They were told to go up to the auditorium. There they were took a grand ride over the rapids, including a roll in the barrel, a joy ride in "the red wagon" and a very exciting aeroplane float. Then the freshmen were received in the Library, which was artistically decorated in the Senior colors--green and white. Here they served delicious ice cold punch. The Seniors, Freshmen and Faculty assembled in the Auditorium and were highly entertained by stunts and jokes.

At this time Professor Springer gave an interesting educational talk, on "whys, wherefores, causes and results of Asafitida smelling so bad." The Freshmen gave some yells for the Seniors. As they passed down the stairway the Seniors lined up and used their paddles with increased energy.
